I am not an ~audiophile~ but I appreciate quality sound and wanted an upgrade from an acquired all-in-one record player I had where the sound was sooo bad. I was blown away by this. I contemplated not getting it because I read other reviews that say this is no better than a bluetooth Bose speaker, not worth the money, etc and I’m sure they have some credibility there but for the average listener who wants a very simple, space-saving (!) set-up that works right out of the box, this is everything I could have asked for. Way better than any bluetooth speaker I’ve ever had lol.And bonus, connection to bluetooth is seamless, so if you’re too lazy to get up and put another record on, you can just play something on your phone. I love so much.Only thing, unless I’m missing something, is that Bluetooth doesn’t automatically stay connected with each use – you need to pair each time you turn the speaker on. It’s SUPER fast and takes like one second, so absolutely not a deal breaker.

I bought this for a friend’s birthday gift. (Along with a turntable) It worked great and the fact that we could blue-tooth Pandora and Spotify, etc. He was very happy and I set it up at my house to surprise him. Easy set up…

I first ordered Andover Audio’s Spinstand, which I found to an excellent stand for my Electrohome Kingston! It fits on top perfectly and looks great! Now, I decided to take the AA (clever, huh?) plunge one step further and purchase the Spinbase.By Grabthar’s Hammer, this minimalist approach to spinning vinyl is the best thing since my 1971 GE Wildcat portable stereo record changer! It works fantastic! It also looks fantastic. The music sounds like…MUSIC! I will be adding a powered sub to it (I have a Martin Logan 10″ here somewhere…) and that should do it.Look my friends, playing records is not time consuming if you take the time to actually do it. The Spinbase is minimalist in looks and maximus in listening pleasure. Highly recommended by someone that listens to music, NOT equipment. This baby plays memories. I am getting at least one more for my Pro-Ject Sgt. Pepper’s Turntable and perhaps one or two more for my daughter and one for my brother. The Spinbase really is that good.Trust me. I know what I’m doin’ when I’m reviewin’.

i’m sure most people have their doubts about a speaker you put under your turntable but, please give it a try! the sound quality is AMAZING and can fill an entire room with music. not only that but the surface of the spinbase does not vibrate AT ALL. i haven’t experienced any type of skipping even whilst having the spinbase on full volume.if you’re a audiophile who wants something that works straight out of the box with minimal setup & doesn’t take up too much space then this is for you! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

So first off, the folks at Spinbase were helpful before I purchased the item, when I had questions (such as whether I could set the speaker up next to the turntable or if the turntable had to be on top of it.As far as sound goes, it has a nice amount of base with reasonable stereo separation. It fits my needs perfectly (I wasn’t getting use of my records with my turntable hooked to my home entertainment system).The bluetooth streaming is a nice touch too.

Paired the Andover Audio Spinbase with my ATLP5X and it sounds great. Product is performing as designed and have not had any issues. Completely satisfied with the quality overall for my range/level. This review is not meant for anything above or below LP5x range.The service and deal received by Gramophone was wonderful. Received on time per provided date, it was well packaged and protected. No issues with their service. I would recommend purchasing it from them as they are a high quality audio retailer. Family owned if I’m not mistaken.

Bought it here because of the quick shipping, think there could have been a little less packaging on Amazon’s part but I understand the need for security/safety for the speaker.I have a UTurn Audio Orbit turntable that is often modeled with this system, and they look beautiful and function perfectly together.Can’t recommend it enough, and even more so love products made in MA!
