10 reviews for Apple 13in MacBook Pro, Retina Display, 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 Dual Core, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD

I’ve owned this item for a number of months and feel comfortable giving a review, and hope that my review will help to inform customers of exactly what they are getting. One thing I’ll say to anyone buying a laptop, is make sure that you know what you’re buying and which reviews you’re reading, because I don’t know for certain that every review that’s shown for a given laptop will match what they’re actually selling.I purchased this MacBook Pro (2017) for roughly $950, and the reason I went with something a little more on the expensive side is because previously I purchased another MacBook, which was a little older and didn’t do everything I wanted, and was a little on the slow side. This laptop is definitely not slow, and can handle pretty much everything that I’ve thrown at it. The display is crisp, it is in fact refurbished, and you really can’t tell the difference between this laptop, and a brand new one. So That is definitely a check in the good column. The specs of my machine are the following:MacBook Pro (2017) 13 inch, Two Thunderbolt 3 portsProcessor – 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5Memory – 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3Graphics – Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MBAs far as gaming, I have only played one game on my MacBook, and that would be SimCity. It handled it without any problems, but I would recommend looking into the specs of the given machine, and then checking the recommended specs that the game lists on the packaging, or on the website of the game. My take on it is that my machine, or one like it, would probably not hold up if you were to put in one of the newer shooters, or something that requires a special graphics card. Moving on…Again, you’ll have to check with different sellers to see what is being offered, but at the time of my purchase, there was an option to spend a little more money and get a bigger hard drive, which was something that I was interested in doing at the time, but in hindsight it was unnecessary due to the fact that in 2020 I have a cell phone and a tablet, which cuts down the amount that I would store on my laptop. In 2007, I was using two external hard drives to store media, and today that just isn’t necessary with the rise of cell phones.I would be happy to answer more of anybody’s questions regarding this device, but I’m not sure what else I can add, other than my overall take on the machine. It looks nice, feels sturdy, is compact and light-weight, and I’m happy with my refurbished machine. This is definitely one buy that I don’t regret at all, and plan on using this well into the next couple of years, and hopefully it’ll hold up as it has been.

I’ve had a great experience buying from Kanga. They made 3 exchanges without question until I was satisfied. All with free return FedEx. After the first had a display issue and the second had a battery issue, third was the charm. No scratches, bright display and battery only had 40 cycles. Well worth the value compared to buying a new computer.

Have been needing a laptop for so long and this is great. Came like brand new as expected

  4. Chad Ainsworth

Man… this computer is basically brand new. The battery’s cycle count was only 3 when I first powered it on! Incredible! Zero flaws and it performs great.

Multiple reviews mentioned getting devices with used batteries, screen issues, etc.My laptop arrived through FedEx Express with questionable packaging. But everything was intact and fine. The laptop still had the plastic wrapped around it as MacBooks directly from Apple do, even with the screen cover. Only 3 battery cycles out of the box, with a new charger in the box. I am very satisfied with the purchase although in the Q&A section of this product someone mentions that this is a 2018 model, its not, its a 2017 (At least the one I received.) which for me isn’t really a big deal since it arrived in exceptional condition. Highly recommend this MacBook.

Wow. I cant say enough how happy I am with this laptop! I it arrived early, and for a refurbished computer I swear it doesn’t have a scratch, dent, smudge or single flaw anywhere on it! Its fast, the battery is great, its working perfectly! I couldn’t be happier with this thing!

I’ve always wanted one for my business and now I have it. Thank you Amazon

I have to admit, I don’t typically write reviews and I was a little hesistant about the product due to some 1 to two star reviews. The space gray model not only is at a great price, it came to me brand new. With all the specs I was expecting, i5 8GB RAM 256GB SSD, and works like a dream. Battery life is great, setting up was easy, and all my Apple Products (iPhone, Apple watch, Earpods) synced with no issues. I’m not sure as to why there were so many negative reviews, but mine is not one of them. SO HAPPY!! I truly recommend.

Finally converted to a full Apple ecosystem. MacBook pro, iPad, iPhone, and watch. I’ve been a life long windows user and administrator. I was looking for a seamless way to integrate text messages and launch phone calls directly from my computer but couldn’t find a cost effective solution. Skype for business came close but it was klugie and didn’t include texting. So far, Mac has been the only solution I’ve found that does what I need. I can text customers direct from sfdc, Excel, outlook, etc. As well as launch calls from the computer via iPhone.Product came as advertised and works like new. Those who’ve given negative reviews, either didn’t read the description, ask to confirm price/specs. If a deal sounds too good to be true…(aka MacBook pro 256gb he, 16gb ram for 999? Come on now… Even for a refurbished device)

I pulled the trigger on this thing hoping that the bad reviews were wrong.. some of the comments saying it came dirty and defective definitely gave me pause however, what arrived today was practically a brand new macbook. the device does not show any signs of wear and the battery cycle count is 18, it came with the original power brick and while the cable was used, it was not worn or dirty in any way. While i’ve only just started using the device about an hour ago, I can tell you that it’s speedy and works flawlessly… had I not known it was a refurb when buying it, I would have easily confused it for a brand new mbp.. for those asking, this is a 2017 macbook pro and the specs as quoted are accurate. i’ll play around with this thing for a little while and update this review as needed, but so far this looks like a winner!***update***A few months in and it’s still working flawlessly. I don’t regret my purchase for one second, and neither should you!
