I tried several other types of holders, and this is by far the best. The others sat too close to the vent, so the back of my phone would hit the knob in the center of the vent that shuts the air on and off…. so I couldn’t get the phone to sit at the right angle. On this one, the mount sits further out, well clear of the vent knob, and is adjustable to any angle. I’ve only had it for a week, but the materials and build quality appear to be great.I had ordered a dash mount from Bestrix that didn’t work for my car, and I got a nice email from the company apologizing and hoping that i would try another product. Great customer service.

This is such a great tool/device for your car! I don’t have to cover up any vents and it fits in my CD player just fine!I just “stick” my phone on it, when I get into my car, & just grab it to go, without trying to pull it out of a spring loaded vent bumper/case, that is somewhat cumbersome & my bents are too low to be looking at the phone while I drive.The pros are:easy to “stick // easy to “grab & go” // better readability while driving & better driving visibility using it // great if you’re a Lyft/Uber driver //comes with magnets as well, to put into a phone case to make your phone “stick/grip”, unless your case already has a metal plate within its structure?Cons are:If you’re “old school” and use your CD player a LOT! Might not be the tool/device for you // if you hit a large bump in the road, the phone has a chance of falling off the magnet… depends on where you live? Are your roads really bumpy?Overall, this is an excellent product, and the only reason why you would not get this, is because of my “CONs” mentioned above.

I read comments on a lot of different types of CD phone holders. Many said that they either got in the way, didn’t fit into the CD slot very tightly or bounced a lot. Others said the magnets weren’t strong enough. This one doesn’t stick out very far at all, looks very nice when the phone is not attached and fits very snug in the CD slot. They provide three different thicknesses of rubber to enable you to get a good fit. My phone is an iPhone 6S, so not as big or heavy as the newer iPhones, but I put the larger rectangular magnet on the back of the phone itself and then have a thin protective case over the back of the phone and the magnet holds it well. I would recommend this product.

Works great in my RAV4, which has upright air vents. Very stable with the two rubber gripsI like that the magnet part is big and that it comes with a small metal plate and a big one, it holds the phone really steady.

I’m very satisfied with this purchase. To be honest, vent mounts aren’t the best solution because the combined weight of the mount and the phone limits the mounting locations on an air vent. The combined weight causes the horizontal slats to be pulled downward and the vertical slats to swing side-to-side. However, the Bestrix’s dual mounting clips create a more stable mount than the single clip design I previously tried. I still had to find the right location on the vent slats, but the dual mounting clips increased the mounting stability and I’m not worried about the phone falling off due to an unstable mount.

The magnet is surprisingly strong, for me it is very important, since my old magnet car mount used to drop my phone when I’d drive over speed bumps.The design is simple and very easy to use and set to the right position.I chose this product over others because of the strong magnets and the large surface, so it would fit a larger phone like s8+.

Very pleased with this product. It is replacing another CD slot holder that just did not have a strong enough magnet. There are so many bumps in the roads these days and this magnet is holding strong so far. I actually turned it upside down in the CD player so my phone was at the right height – because I have the metal plate at the bottom of my phone to allow for wireless charging. The plate is under a Lifeproof case and this magnet is strong enough to hold my S8 phone without a bump causing it to drop off the magnet! I am keeping the rubber accessories just in case the heat of the approaching summer causes the need for more stability with the hold in the CD slot. Installs easily and the phone detaches from the magnet with ease too. Oh, and it looks very nice and blends with my dark dashboard. Very happy with this purchase.

This is seriously the best phone holder I have ever tried. I have tried the ones that use suction and that clip in but everything I have tried has been cheap and the phone would fall constantly. This holder is life changing- it uses magnets for the phone and some kind of silicon to clip in and it is super super strong. Driving over the bumpy streets of LA the phone did not move! I would give it 6 stars

Wow! Where have it been hiding for so long as I struggled for two years with my previous holder. There are three main advantages if you contemplating this one over basic magnetic vent holders that are sold everywhere:- it has two vent holders instead of one. This makes the connection so strong that no matter how wild you drive your car, the holder will never dislodge from the vent and send your phone flying just as you rely on it to give you next turn navigation.- the magnetic fronthead has three strong magnets in it to provide confident sticking power to your phone, but more importantly, it is about an inch or so away from the vent, so the phone does not block airflow as my old holder did- finally the magnetic head has the ability to adjust the angle at which your phone would be facing you and it allows for a much better view of the screen while you are driving. My previous magnetic vent holder was just staring straight and so did the phone when put on holder. Now I can actually set the angle so that phone is turned towards me even from the far air vent.
