Purchased the 10Gtek SFP+ to connect a video editing suite to RAID Storage. I was interested in preserving high bandwidth, as our content uses both HD and 4K video streams. The 10Gtek cable was the perfect fit for connecting the edit suite to our machine room. Once we complete our buildout, we will be purchasing more of these cables to bring additional suites on line.The cable came well packaged and well made. We tested 6 simultaneous streams of 4K footage before the editing workstation began to lag under the load. Well within our target plans for 2017!

*Edit* Turns out my Switch only supports 1Gb SFP while the UDM pro supports 10Gb.Auto negotiation failed however forced to 1gb works. So rule of thumb don’t blame the cable and check to make sure your SFP devices are actually SFP + rated

So far so good! I have used these on Lucent / Alcatel as well as on Cisco and they performed very well. I like that they come in colors so when I am done with my POC it’s very easy to trace my cables through the sea of black or blue. All in all extremely happy with this purchase and will be buying these from now on as needed for any installs.

This is a no-nonsense 10G DAC cable, I say that because you plug it in and it works.I’ve tested this cable myself with Cisco (Router and switches), Netgear (Switches), Mikrotik (Router and switches), Broadcom (NIC) and Mellanox (NIC) devices and it just works.High marks for compatibility.I own many cables from 10Gtek and they all are like this green one.I got the green cables for color coding devices.I’m very happy with this cable.

Seemingly most of these cables are always too long and become a cable management pain point. however this cable seemed the perfect length for 2x 1U to be connected whilst next to each other in a rack

For my first foray into 10Gb networking for my home lab, I chose this manufacturer for all my NICs & cabling to go with my Mikrotik CRS305 router (in switch mode). Happy to report no issues, everything is generically compatible and I was enjoying 10g speeds right out the box (verified with iperf and line speed SMB transfers to a TrueNAS box I also outfitted with a 10GTek NIC and one of these SFP+ DACs. I will not hesitate to buy my next round of 10Gb networking gear from this manufacturer, great quality and price.
