I will never pay full price again!! Honestly refurbished is just as good if not better than buying brand new. Our tablet came in the standard fire box. Charger and cable included. Came with 90% battery life. We’ve had it for about 3 weeks now. It’s great! No issues so far. We’ve just ordered another. I would highly recommend a refurbished kindle fire HD 10

Of course Amazon had to ruin this great tablet by preloading all their bloatware trying to turn it into POS system.Highly recommend but first thing to do is install the Fire Toolbox and eliminate all the Amazon bs and install Google play.

Our first kindle for a kid was in 2012 and it lasted for years (3rd grader at the time of purchase) it still works when charged, its in a drawer somewhere) Kids profile with screen time and age appropriate content parent controls ARE awesome. I can not only control content but I can easily see every game they get if I let them have access to get new apps. We have/have had I-pads for 2 out of 3 kids, kid one broke his screen, cost as much as a Kindle to replace an Ipad screen, broke his screen again and damaged the internals. Kindles can take more abuse. Kid #2 broke her Ipad screen, WITH a kid style case AND a screen protector (had screen it replaced), now it is just so old (cant update software) most (like 95%) apps aren’t compatible. its not THAT old. This is kindle #4 for our youngest. In sept. 2016 we bought the kids edition the first time (she was 18mo. old and temporarily immobile, NOT a happy toddler, needed something to occupy and placate her a little) her older sister broke the screen, was under included warranty and the replacement (2) was shipped before the end of the day that UPS picked up the return. number 2 died, it was abused and mistreated and handled it well but getting left on playing movies under a pile of blankets and forgotten for hours will overheat electronic devices…. next one (3) was a present from Santa (2019) and had a good run until it was out of its protective case (thanks to someone called “I don’t know” and “wasn’t me”) and mysteriously fell down the stairs (they can come out ok down the stairs if the foamy kid case is on them!) . This one (4) was gotten in September, so far she hasn’t ruined it, she’s old enough now to understand that she needs to take care of her things. Four kindles have cost me FAR less than one iPad would, and cheaper and/or more durable than comparable tables otherwise. I am able to justify replacing this often when its $70 or less VS. hundreds.

I was a little worried about purchasing a refurbished model but after reading some positive reviews I decided to give it a shot and honestly I couldn’t be happier. I wanted a tablet to draw on primarily and although the iPad has gotten great reviews for it’s art applications, I couldn’t afford to spend a grand on one. Plus another $100 for the pencil. So I took a chance with a refurbished Fire HD 10 tablet and I gotta say, it works great for what I was looking for. Had to buy a drawing stylus separately of course but that was only $25 extra. Long story short, I spent a fraction of what I would have paid for an iPad and accessories and got something that is pretty comparable, at least for what I was looking for. It’s great for watching TV and playing games too. After purchasing the tablet, a nice case, screen protector, and stylus, I think it totaled around $170. Not too shabby. I definitely recommend this product! Can’t beat the quality for the price.

I almost didn’t buy the 10″ Kindle HD because of all the negative reviews that criticized the screen quality, battery life, operating system, etc. I’m glad I didn’t pay attention, knowing I could return it if dissatisfied. I won’t!!!I bought this to expand my use as a tablet in addition to the primary use as a reader. I am totally impressed with the speed, picture quality and battery life. I use a Microsoft Surface as my primary computer and this $150 tablet works just as fast, just as well, and with just as clear a screen picture as the Surface. What a bargain.Downside, it’s quite a bit heavier than HD8, but I only carry it from bedroom to living room so who cares?

I purchased this. It’s excellent. As long as you are able to get the google play that will unlock this device to the next level. Purchase this device Asap. And then go on YouTube and look up GOOGLE PLAY FOR FIRE HD 10. There will be a multitude of You-Tubers who will show you step by step how to get GOOGLE PLAY on your Amazon a Device. It will not interfere with the device whatsoever. Second for reading. This is excellent. Just download ADOBE PDF and you can read books all day. Minimal glare. Overall. This is way worth the money.

I’m not a fan of tablet computers. They can’t do 90% of the stuff I need done. However, I had a Paperwhite for reading, and I loved it. I decided to get the Fire because I wanted to read my textbooks in color. Of course, this Fire has way more bells and whistles than my paperwhite did. One downside is that the screen is shiny and not matte like my other Kindle, but I found a matte screen protector and it made a HUGE difference. Now, i have no glare, no fingerprints. Granted it doesn’t have the special display for rendering fonts like the Paperwhite does, but a matte screen protector helped with that, too. I absolutely LOVE having Alexa around, and I like her way more than either google or siri. The fact that this Fire works with my Amazon Prime gives me a little thrill. I can tell Alexa to play any music in my Prime Music library, and she will do it. Prime Video is on it, as well, and Alexa can find a movie if I ask her to. I hate tablet PCS, but I love this Fire.

I would say if you have the 2017 HD 10 it”s a great time to upgrade. The 2019 with the new processor is day and night when it comes to responsiveness…..if that’s a word…lol. My 2017 model was one of my go to travel buddies. It has now been replaced with the 2019 HD10 hands down. Let’s get this out of the way here, the Fire Tablets are not power house devices. They never have been and maybe never will. What they have been is the best all around devices for their price. Don’t let the….Certified Refurbished scare you away,if there’s a problem Amazon so far has had my back.My first shipped device was DOA out of the box. I was shipped out a new device the same day(good job Amazon) The new device is working like a charm, most task are way faster than the 2017 HD10. I would say it must be the processor(octa core) and the now updated OS. The first you should do is let the device do all the updates. Make that your first task until you see the new home screen as in one of my pictures(it will prompt you that is is new)I have owned and still do have about 7 Amazon HD tablets(7″ 8″ and 10″ since the very first Kindle Fire HD from 2012. This is by far the best all around of the bunch. The USB C connector was a welcome on my HD 8+,and so it is here. Mine came with a charger in the box but,my first shipment did not.(?? check your box). The battery life is a improvement from what my 2017 HD was getting out of the box back then. It’s still good now but,the 2019 last longer.I am not much of a game kind of a guy but, on this device and my HD 8+. I find my self wanting to play more because the Game Mode these devices go into when open a game. The performance on games such as Asphalt 8 and many others to be a big improvement over the 2017 HD 10 ,and my old HD 8 from 2016. So to sum this up,I love this upgrade to the HD 10 2019. If you want a device to do most task such as YouTube, Prime Video,Ebooks and maybe some lite work. This device will get you by and not break your piggy bank.btwI did not install the Google Playstore on this device because, I wanted to use it the way it comes from Amazon. Having said that,I have installed it on many of my other Fire devices and it makes very good Fire devices even better.(just putting that out there, because it is out there if you want to) easy peasy….lol
