Through its dedication to innovation and continual customer contact, Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. has transformed itself from a small bib overall company to the largest workwear manufacturer in the world. Sold in every state in the U.S., Dickies now offers a broad spectrum of work garments ranging from work pants and work shirts to denim jeans and women’s workwear. Since its beginnings in 1922, every piece of Dickies workwear has stood for the quality, toughness, and pride that embodies the spirit of the American worker.C.N. Williamson and E.E. ‘Colonel’ Dickie began their business careers in the ‘vehicle and harness’ business in Bryan, Texas. In 1918, they made what turned out to be a momentous decision when they and a few friends established the U.S. Overall Company. Then, in 1922, C. Don Williamson joined with his father and cousin to buy 100% of the overall company on a one-third-each basis and renamed it Williamson-Dickie Manufacturing Company.

From its early years, Williamson-Dickie enjoyed steady growth, slowed only by the Great Depression, and during World War II, the company was sequestered to produce millions of uniforms for the nation’s armed forces. In converting to civilian production after the war, C. Don Williamson began a strategy of geographical expansion and established new production facilities, warehouses, and sales territories throughout the United States. In the late 1950’s, Williamson-Dickie became an international company by expanding into the European market and the Middle Eastern market – where Texas oilmen introduced the Dickies brand to Middle Eastern oil fields.

While Williamson-Dickie began as a bib overall company, today it has grown to be the number one manufacturer of work apparel worldwide. By continually expanding and updating its selection, Williamson-Dickie now offers garments ranging from its staple work pants and work shirts to items such as women’s workwear, chore coats, and denim jeans. Dickies workwear is currently sold in all 50 states and throughout the world in countries such as South Africa, Australia, Russia, Chile, Japan, Iceland, Canada, Europe and Mexico.

I tend to buy loose fit jeans. They always look like bell bottoms and kinda ridiculous. Bought these and they fit and look great. Color hasn’t faded after multiple washes. No shrinkage. Love these jeans.

  2. MariaS

These are the dark blue, no fades, no rips, no distress but good old fashion blue jeans. My husband loves that they fit well in the seat and thigh so it is comfortable to drive.

i’ve read where others have had problems, mine are just as i’ve always remember Dickies jeans. light, comfortable, good fit. purchased the size i wear and the fit just right. there were no bad threads or anything else wong with them. i would buy again and would tell others to buy. the only down side is that the pockets on the back could be deeper, but they work out ok, and the front pockets could have a larger opening. i have small hands and it takes a bit to get your hands in the front pockets. other then that very happy with them at a great price. get you some.

I’ve worn Dickies jeans before, from regular cut and relaxed fit to relaxed fit carpenter’s jeans. They have very good durability, and most importantly, the little “extra room” around the waist that jeans from other manufacturers do not have. Follow the care instructions, they’ll give you good wearability.

I find the quality of these jeans to be very good. The inseam is perfect, the waist was a little tight, but stretched a little after wearing them. The fabric is fairly thick and has good texture. The red label on the back pocket is cute. They fit perfectly through the hips and thighs. Comparing these to the Levi’s relaxed fit, the Levi’s have more room in the waist, but I like the Dickie’s fabric better – it’s 100% cotton. For some reason the 1% stretch in the Levi’s makes the fabric feel cheaper.

I bought Wranglers for years, but my latest pair had smallish front pockets that made it quite uncomfortable to sit with a smartphone within. This pair of Dickies have generous front pockets and seven belt-loops to carry gear securely. They seem well-built and as long as the design and quality of these jeans remains unaltered, they have a customer for the foreseeable future.

My son just tried them on and they fit perfect! He’s a teen, 6’3 tall, and about 145 pounds lean muscle. They sit nice on him, not tight and not too baggy or saggin’. The 36 L was the perfect choice! They fit beyond his ankle, actually kind of like the guy in the photo on the item description sellers page. I never liked Dickies because I only knew of those starchy looking ones, but THESE jeans look REAL good, front to back!

I’ve bought probably 6 or 7 of this model (I guess you could say) Dickie’s Jean’s for work over the last 5+ years. They fit great and last about as long as you could possibly ask for. Definitely would recommend.

Dickies has displaced Wrangler as my basic denim jeans.First, the fit: These are “relaxed fit”, which, to me, means I don’t feel fabric rubbing my legs all the time. However, despite the slightly roomier seat and thigh (handy when you’re constantly squatting, sitting, bending, standing up), they’re not baggy. (Wrangler’s relaxed fit have gotten much too baggy in the seat.) The fit is also consistent. I have three pair of these in this size, and they all fit the same way. Some brands require me to try every pair on to make sure I don’t get one that’s cut too large or too small while showing the same size between them.Second, the durability: They’re not Carhartt, but, at $20-$25 per pair, they’re very durable and stand up well to what I throw at them.Third, the pockets: I wish this had the sixth pocket (for a cell phone) sometimes, but the five pockets are sufficient.. The back pocket holds a smart phone comfortably, and the front pockets are generous but not TOO deep. (My typical male hand fits in the pocket, to the wrist, but no more.)Fourth, the “style”: I don’t care about style. I certainly don’t want to be associated with that sissified pansy nonsense that is called “skinny jeans” or with all that crazy stitching on the pockets. There’s no chance of that with these jeans. These are “man pants”. Wear them with your work boots, your sneakers, your hiking shoes, or, if you insist, your Kenneth Coles. Wear it with a button down, your camo, or the shirt with your name stitched on the chest. It all works.

My choice used to be Wrangler “relaxed fit” jeans because I felt they were cheaper but with same quality as Levis. I never considered trying the Dickies brand because I thought they might be industrious and stiff feeling like there popular work-wear they put out. Apon needing a new pair of jeans, I recently discovered that Wrangler and Levis discontinued their age long idea of having seven (7) belt loops and now only come with five (5) belt loops. I believe this was a bad judgement call on their part just to save cost on manufacturing. I took a chance and ordered two different colored pairs of these Dickies “Relaxed-Fit” jeans in the same size I normally worn in the Wrangler brand. Seven belt loops works better than five for a more secure fit and if needed, to hold your tucked shirt in better without fuss.I’m glad I made the switch and Dickies is now my new “go to” brand for jeans. I was wrong about my thoughts of industrial fit or feel, these jeans are soft and durable just like you’d expect jean material to be. The sizing/fit & feel is just like what I always had with Wranglers before they screwed-up & went to five loops.Nice jeans…… you won’t be disappointed and the price is right!
