I bought two of these for my grand children, who were out of school for the semester and doing e-learning activities. I also looked at Amazon tablets. These tablets are an amazing value and your child can use them all throughout their childhood/teen years if they wanted to. These are not toys–they are full fledged Android tablets. Parents, you might have a little learning curve setting them up, but once you get the hang of it, your kids will love them! One of my grandkids, who is 4, downloads new games and activities every day by himself from out of state since he returned home. I am set up as his parental figure so I can see everything he does and alter permissions if needed. To do that, you need a parental Google account and then a child Google account. You then have to link the child account to your parental account as a ‘family member’. Give your parental account the ability to reset passwords of course. If you do not want to constantly enter your password on this tablet, which has a tiny touch keyboard, and you’ve set permissions accordingly from your parent account–allow the child to download games or activities without you entering your password each time. The tablet does come with a built in set of games, shows, etc. You need to read the instructions to ensure that you know how to pull that up and get it ready for your child before they use the tablet for the first time. Once you have it set up with content displaying on the desktop of the device, the child can easily figure out how to take it from there! Kids are very tech savvy when it comes to exploring content and technology! The google accounts allow them to access school work if your school system gives them lessons through Google. However, the keyboard is not the same as a computer or laptop keyboard, so you will need to see if your child can type on it efficiently. These are a great value for the price and I can’t recommend them highly enough!

This is a great product, sturdy and durable, and a good price. Those are the reasons I bought it for her. However, it is not for a toddler. The screens are too hard to maneuver. I bought this for my 2-year-old granddaughter because she loves to watch movies and play games on my Samsung phone and Samsung tablet. She can maneuver both of them really well by swiping left or right and up or down. There are too many menus on this tablet for her. We’ll give it back to here because when she is a little older. Other than that reason, it is a great little tablet and that’s why I gave it 5 stars.One last thing, unless you are the child’s parent, don’t try to set it up. The ask for email addresses and other information, so I believe the parent would know best.

I bought this tablet so my pre-k kiddo can access some educational games and videos. This tablet has full access to the Google app store, and works well with the Google Family parental controls. We had a low-end Kindle Fire before, and I was disappointed that it couldn’t access the Google app store. It also comes with the Kidoz parental control app; that app seems to work well though I’m not a huge fan.The battery lasts several hours game and video watching. It comes with a dedicated charging port (not micro usb) which is nice as it is easier for my kids to plug in. It does have a micro usb as well, if you want to use that charging cable that you have laying around for your phone.The bumper cover that came with it has saved it already from several drops, but A+ for that. I wish it covered the micro-sd card slot, as my kids occasionally get curious and pull out the memory card (doh!).The screen has good color and works well for the purpose I intended (kid’s apps/games). It’s definitely not a top end screen, but I wouldn’t expect it for the price.The camera is pretty lousy so if you’re looking for a device for the the kids to take pictures on, this probably isn’t it.Overall a solid buy for young kids (maybe 4-10).

For young children, this is a great bundle, and the tablet performs well. We bought it for our 5-year-old niece in the Philippines, and I’m confident she’ll be overjoyed. We loaded it up with kid-friendly movies we own, after installing a 32GB microSD card, and checked to see that it plays them without problem. Didn’t really get a chance to test battery life, but I do like the fact that there are two different charging methods. Anyway, the performance is decent, the case is excellent, and the bundled content makes this a bargain educational tool for young ones.(NOTE: My 5-star rating is for kids age 9 and younger; older than that, they may be frustrated with its performance, and might not enjoy the bundled content.)

I was weary of buying another kids tablet as the brand I bought before was so slow and I didn’t like the kids software on it.This tablet is great! It has good speed (important for an impatient 3 yr old) and I have been able to download everything I wanted on it. It is sturdy and the case is great. The volume doesn’t go up that loud so even if he turns it all the way up I can still hear myself think. The battery lasts forever while not in use so if he puts it down for a couple days it still has battery when he goes to play it again. It is acceptable when he is watching movies on it as well.Overall, I am very happy with this tablet. It has restored my faith in children’s tablets.

We’ve bought other tablets for our kids but were dissatisfied with the lack of controls. Amazon tablets are nice but my kids love the apps and games fun the play store and getting those installed on kindle fire is challenging and time consuming.These were charged full, right out of the box. We used the Google account setup for our child to setup and moved the apps from the old device and it was ready to go.The best parts: case included so you don’t have to worry if it will fit. The kick stand on the back feels flimsy but so far so good. We were also able to install parental controls to control what she how long these are used. So far, so good!

I highly recommend following the instructions for booting up for the first time. All of the pre-loaded apps and stories were immediately accessible. My daughter loves using it for her extra screentime, and I generally don’t have to be concerned about what she is accessing. She wears headphones, so it isn’t a bother to those around her. There are a lot of educational resources, which I love.She can access YouTube (being taught by her older brothers), so I do monitor that element. However, the pre-loaded apps keep her busy enough.I highly recommend this tablet if you are using it for basic and educational entertainment.The case is really cute too.

Bought this for my granddaughter, so she would have something to keep her attention when riding in the carseat, because it has to be in the back facing backwards for safety, so she would not feel alone, she watches MC Club, because it is educational, it came with disney plus pre-loaded so my daughter easily downloaded videos for her to watch. It is very kid friendly and my grand-daughter who is now almost 18 months has figured out how to get to the videos by herself, or play games. it is durable and can be charged via USB or regular charger. This is also good to teach eye hand coordination, because of the touch screen, she has to learn to touch something precisely to get it to work. Very happy that I purchased this tablet.

Reviewing after 6 months of daily use. Daughter loves the tablet. The outer protective case provides a great amount of protection ours has survived multiple multiple drops onto hardwood. The screen protector that comes pre installed has held up very well. Compared to some other tablets the speaker is a little on the quiet side, but after listening to her watching the same movie the 10th time in a row it’s actually nice that it’s not so loud. Battery life is acceptable. The tablet has a micro usb port and a banana plug style port that matches the included charger. Either of them can be used to charge the tablet which is a huge feature in my opinion. I have had multiple kindle tablets over the year that quit taking a charge through the micro usb port. Having a back up method of charging provides peace of mind that this tablet can continue being used for a lot longer than some competitors.It has expandable storage via a sd card slot, and just like any android tablet you can download other apps through the Google Play store.

My child love their new DragonTouch y88xIt has lock options so they can only use the apps I allow. The screen size is great and the silicone cover that it comes with is wonderful not bulky and had a built-in stand. Although I don’t use the stand as they have already snapped it Off once but it snapped right back on easily.I chose Dragontouch Kids tablet because I have a K10 and I absolutely love it! Customer service is quick and Extremely helpful!!I used to get the Fire tablets but disliked being limited to Amazon store apps. I love the Dragon Touch because I am able to utilize Google Play!
