We just got this so we haven’t played around with all the features yet but we already love it because it’s the first piece of technology that has been able to understand my son. He has a speech disorder called Apraxia of Speech. Simple way to explain what that is – his brain and mouth have a communication issue so he mispronounces words, can’t say some and is generally hard to understand at times. Alexa understands him almost all of the time! I also love that we can change what we call Alexa because he can’t say Alexa. We changed it to Echo. The only thing she’s had a hard time with so far is when he was trying to call Nana and she kept thinking he was saying Nicole. You have no idea what it means to us, and especially him, that he can use this and it understands him.

I have a few 2nd gen echo dots, compared to those this one has much better audio quality but many more bugs. It has issues where a skill such as the sleep sounds app withrow same commands will sometimes not work. Setting it up was infuriating as it refused to connect to my WiFi and when it did it would answer with “I can’t do that right now” to every command. I’ve also had a hard time finding support online for when things like this happens so it’s tough figuring out how to get it working again, the app doesn’t help at all.My 6 year old loves it (when it works) and it helps her sleep at night and listen to music when her friends come over to play.

I bought this for my grandkid’s room at our house. They have dance parties, listen to stories, learn about outer space, rocket, trains, puppies, barbies…..everything! They are having a ball with it. I like the fact that they can call my phone with it, so if I’m in the kitchen, they can call me if they have a question and vice versa. If they’re in the playroom and it’s time for dinner, I just tell Alexa to call them to dinner. It’s awesome. Parental controls are great too!

To be honest I’m a grown women and I know this is a kids echo dot 4GEN but I love pandas 🤍🖤🤍🖤 I still have my inner child and my favorite colors are black and white and I love pandas for there color and how fluffy they are and i find them to be harmony to me. so my boyfriend got me this deal the echo glow and echo dot 4GEN panda on prime day he got it on sale and had a coupon so it came out so cheap. Either way it arrived well it was a really easy set up on the Amazon Alexa app in the app it gave me a option to sign up for Amazon freeTime unlimited and it walks you through step by step but I exit on X on top and disabled freeTime on Amazon Alexa app so it works like a regular echo dot 4Gen, I have my panda echo dot 4Gen in my desk in my room looks so cute sounds is nice and Alex is clearer when she replies. I use Amazon music on it or pandora music and I use different skills works well .So far I love my echo dot 4Gen i haven’t had any problems right now im listen to music as I write this review also using the Bluetooth on it to play YouTube music and when I tell Alexa to skip it works so far I’m happy. Any dislikes not yet. I put a video up and my voices sounds awkward not good making videos hope this helps you all out.

Love this Panda Echo Dot for Kids. Super easy to use. The kids version is nice because if they tell it to play a song that is really not appropriate for them..then Alexa will tell them “Sorry, I can’t play you this song because it contains explicit material.” This also is educational. They can ask any math problems, solar system questions, history, literally anything you would Google. It will read bedtime stories, tell jokes, can be used as an alarm clock to wake them before school and be used as an intetcom!! So, if you have a main Echo/Alexa type system within the home, you could use it to talk to your child in the other room, upstairs/downstairs, tell them to get out of bed and come to breakfast for school or whatever works for you..I thought that was a really cool feature. We love keeping music going in the home all the time, so it’s been a mood lifter here.

With the onslaught of bluetooth speakers coming from both Google, Amazon, and other big named companies which are all competing for the smart home conversion, this can be overwhelming to choose. Like, really, what’s best for your ears, your family and company?Alexa, that’s who. But, I’m a biased fan boy. So remember that. For my smart home I chose Amazon as my primary converter. Fire stick, blink security, Echo Hub, the echo show for face calls, Kindle, Tablet, Echo Buds and works with smart bulbs. There isn’t much of anything that the Echo Development teams haven’t thought of. This device was the first step in making my house a smart home, though, even though I didn’t think about it at first.Portable speakers (with wifi), calculator, someone to tell your dad jokes, or just make fart noises, this device has it with Alexa. With customization to wake words (Computer, Alexa, Echo, etc) and pairing of multiple dots to an Echo hub in a multiroom can provide for some amazing surround sound. Seriously.Alexa is kind of like the middle man of making your home smart. She acts as the computer, and communicator to you and your home. I use my Echo Dot every day, playing music all the time. For individual listening, I would recommend Echo Buds for that private concert.I would recommend volume level 3 or 4 for a medium sound. For a party, you may need an two Echo Dots and a Hub for a large room. 1 and 2 settings are perfect for a meditating experience, or just soft background noise depending on what your listening too.Amazon’s music library has literally 20,000,000 songs to choose from; and ad free with 3d audio for those interested in Amazon Unlimited and HD. That’s essential to ANYONE who loves listening to music all day, every day. Not to mention, if you don’t wanna use Amazon HD, or Amazon in general, you are still able to set up Spotify as you’re primary library/archive of music. That way, you don’t have to start all over by liking, disliking and setting up new playlists for your road trips or work out sessions.5/5 for awesome sound5/5 voice recognition5/5 easy installation5/5 smart home device.4th generation Echo Dot really blasts the hell out of all previous models, including sound output, style and variance in both Child and Adult, with variety in colors.Con:Cable could use a different color other than black or white, because this would allow “what cable goes to what.” Otherwise, this is a really small complaint comparing to what you’re really getting. This device will not pair with adult/regular 4th generation echo dots.

My older son loves tigers and when I saw I could upgrade hid echo Dot to a tiger it was a no-brainer!So far so good. The voice recognition is good and the voice interface is easy to use. Note that the plug for this fourth generation echo Dot is different. The power cord and plug came as one unit. The part that plugs into the dot itself is a round cylinder, not the flat cables it used to be. It’s a bit of a wall wart but we have a power strip so I just stuck it on the end.My son is super happy especially since it’s a tiger. I love that for the kids edition they offer cartoony faces like this now.

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter. She was upset at some point just for it bring in the kids range. But after 2/3 days.. she loved this ball of informational happiness. It’s attached to her hand literally.. Bathroom, Kitchen,Dining room.. the alarm is beautiful, the most important reason I bought this version. She’s has plenty of alarms but none she can talk back to and hear a cartoon character. Did I mention it knows her voice.. It’s very cute. And considering we’re in Ohio and the lil tiger is a perfect Bengal theme.5 stars from this happy Momma. My daughter is very much asking questions and hearing jokes, perfect birthday gift.

I got this for my little girl for Christmas and both of us absolutely love it, she plays games with Alexa, listens to books, and at bedtime she plays lullabies to help her go to sleep. My little girls is 7, and it is absolutely perfect for kids, you can turn on parental controls so that when music plays it automatically blanks out any “grown up words.” There’s TONS of skills you can add so your child can have an array of different things to listen to, from dinosaurs to Disney, this Alexa does everything. I got it with the Amazon light/lamp, and it’s awesome, it’ll change colors during stories, and you can set it to any color you want. DEFINITELY recommend

I’m an adult, and I bought this Tiger Echo Dot (sphere) for my own use. I think it is just SO cute. My primary need was to have an easy to use speakerphone on my desk so that when people called, or I had to call someone, I could keep working and typing while maintaining the phone conversation. Sure, I could have bought an actual speakerphone unit. But this is so so much better.I’ve loaded in an unboxing video to show how it comes packaged, and how it starts up. It was incredibly easy to install and also quite easy to set up for ‘adult use’ without the children restrictions. I have it set to turn on the office lights, the living room lights, and so on. I can easily check the weather or add items to a to-do list. It plays music and I even enjoy the daily Jeopardy trivia game. For me, the most important use is the speakerphone. I can call any phone out there and have long, crystal-clear conversations while I do my work. For someone to call me, they need to use the Alexa app to call in to my tiger. I’m fine with that. If someone really wants to chat for a while, they can message me so that I initiate the call to them.I’ll note that some people complain about the ‘not perfect’ audio quality. I’m not sure what someone expects from a tiny plastic sphere. I have Harman Kardon speakers on my desk. If I really want stellar classical music, I’ll play through those. But if I just want something poppy in the background while I work? The tiger is absolutely perfect for that.Ask with any questions – I’m quite pleased!
