So I have owned this grille for 3 weeks now and its awesome. I love how easy it is to clean. No drips get anywhere except in the drip pan. It cooks steaks as good as my Char-Broil grill does. I don’t buy expensive steaks. Just the sirloin. On my outside propane grille, I put it on high and let it heat up for 10 minutes, I throw the 1-1/4” steak on for 4 minutes a side and it comes out perfect. For my Hamilton beach inside electric grill, I turn it to sear, when the green light goes on I throw the identical steak on for 4 minutes a side and it comes out perfect. I cooked it with the lid down. Just look at the pictures. Don’t ask me for some of my steak, the answer is no!

Below are several reasons I chose this particular grill. I feel each is important which makes this a superior product in my view.- It sears – does a great job.- It has actual temperature indicators on the dial, not just low-medium-high settings. The settings are 200, 250, 300, 350, 400 and sear (which is 450). This temperature feature gives you greater control.- The unit is 1200 watts (not 1800) which would work great in an RV. It only uses 3 volts according to our meter and 10 amps. And it gets VERY hot.- The lid design is extremely well thought out. First of all – it has one! And with this particular lid design, you will find little difference between this grill and an outdoor grill (other than the quantity of food you can grill at one time on an outdoor grill). In addition to heat retention, the lid is quite high above the grill plate so you don’t have to worry about fitting larger, thicker items (such as really large chicken breasts or thick cut steaks and ribs) on the grill. This is the reason I didn’t consider the Delonghi Perfecto which received complaints about the lid touching the meat.- It’s not a contact grill. This was important because I want to control the cooking – not be controlled by the grill. I want to turn the meat at my discretion and I like to keep the juices in – not have them squeezed out by the weight of a top plate. Then there’s that searing thing again (which is great.)- The meat doesn’t sit in grease while cooking. Since the grill plate is “slatted” and not solid like our old Presto, this is not a concern just as it is not a concern with an outdoor grill – same design. The grease drains off naturally and falls between the grates into the drip tray.- The heating element is embedded in the grill plate, so no worry about hot and cold spots.- The cleanup is easy enough.- Not overly heavy. Easily transportable.- If important to you, the unit is attractive to leave out on the counter.I feel there is precious little difference between this grill and an outdoor grill when it comes to both design and performance. As I said this grill is plenty HOT – preheat as directed just as with other grills. For us this was a great purchase – well pleased.

Forget all the negative reviews on this product and listen to your girl over here. I love this grill. I clean it immediately after use. I use only Dawn and warm water. I spray Pam to better protect the grill. Get you one. Follow instructions. Take care of it properly because that’s how you maintain longevity.

Im absolutely sold on this product. The problem with your foreman style grills is obvious, it weighs down and squeezes everything out. Thats of course good to get some grease out if you’re cooking really fatty ground beef or something, but if you’re buying 80/85%, or cooking chicken, you don’t want to do that. I can’t find any fault on this product at all. This thing really does every meat that i’ve done so far (chicken breast, hamburger, minute steak) deliciously. Does it take a little longer than a press style grill, but the meats taste so much better, chicken most of all comes out juicy and really, really good. You absolutely don’t need to use spray oil & that likely causes the smoky-ness that people have noted; just be sure to flip meat with a silicone spatula.Cleaning is easy. get some hot water going, pull the grill out and just wipe down with wet paper towels on both sides, dry off & its ready.Treat yourself, spend an extra few bucks and buy this thing!***Six Month Update***Im still in love with this thing. The people who complain about the finish chipping off, I don’t know what you’re doing. but I just hand clean the grill with wet paper towels and hot water, and everything cleans off great. If you put this in your dishwasher, you’re a doofus because you know the dishwasher is going to mess up something like this. I’ve only had it smoke-up a couple times, and that was because i didn’t clean the bottom part as well as the top, & there was some food residue under there. Don’t neglect the bottom.Cooking wise it is easily the best appliance i’ve ever owned in terms of its functionality. One thing I’ve learned is with thicker burgers, its best to keep the temperature in the 250-300 range and flip every 4 minutes or so. Same thing with thick chicken breast.Steaks, I like medium so I get the thing super hot, sear each side for a minute and a half, then drop the heat to finish to my taste. And lastly, I love being able to make a meat & vegetable meal that comes out this good in the dead of winter when i’m not going out & using my gas grill.

Replaced an 8 year old George Foreman grill we were using on our condo porch because of how much smoke it generated. I have been using this grill in our kitchen for a month now with all kinds of meat, steak, burgers, pork chops, chicken and fish, some marinated some not. Plenty of room with the lid closed for thick steaks. Only one time did we have a little smoke, on a fattier than usual steak, but otherwise virtually smokeless. We have been grilling using the guidelines that were provided and everything has come out perfectly. The key is making sure you hand wash the grill every single time after use. For the drip tray I just put foil in it, discard it after use and wipe the edges. I opted for the stainless steel model without the glass window as I never had a grill with a window. The lid is easy to wipe down after any splatters and you don’t have a brown looking window. It says it’s dishwasher safe but handwashing it with Dawn makes sure it gets scrubbed down. And yes, nothing but heat resistance tongs and spatulas for turning the food. Definitely recommend this for indoor grilling.

I love it! It takes a little while to heat up but it works excellent. My food comes out great and I find myself grilling every day. IT is much better than grilling outside and everything comes out cooked evenly and perfect.

I bought this grill when I moved into my new apartment, and I haven’t regretted the decision. This isn’t your typical George foreman; This is am actual grill.Pros:- spacious enough to cook 4 chicken breasts on it at the same time, so good for a moderate sized family- is fully electrical and heats up in around 5 minutes- It has a hood instead of a press, so you can get quality, juicy meats every time. (A press can dry them out)- Easy to clean. Tray, hood, and grill can easily be removed and washedCons:- of the couple of months I have owned this, I have not had any problems with it.

As soon as I received this item, right out the box it went and onto my kitchen counter to be put to work. I’ve been wanting something like this for sometime and decided to give this product a try. I’m loving the fact of being able to take apart the main pieces to properly wash then (lid/hood, main tray, and drip pan). I’m also loving how wide the plate is to cook on it along with the different temperature settings on it. This was to replace an old GeorgeForeman grill I’ve had forever and a day which I never really cared for. The cleaning was a disaster each time along with the amount of smoke is gave off plus I wasn’t always thrilled in having my food pressed with many times not cooking it properly. This particular table top electric grill is in similarity to a outside propane grill and I’m in Love 🥰 !!!If you liked my review and found it to be helpful please click below to indicate that you did. FYI… the grilled chicken that I made in the video came out delicious!!! Great product and worth the money.

Seriously, I love this grill. Recently moved into city and can’t use my grill so thought I’d give this a try. Man, it’s amazing how well this works considering what it is and what it costs. I really can’t see why anyone would have ANYTHING negative to say about it. No, it’s not a Traeger Grill and clearly has its limits but take a look at the photos of the first two meals I cooked on it… they looked fantastic and tasted even better. Seriously, if you’ve been on the fence about this grill get off and just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

Let me start by saying I am cook and I live in NYC in an apt. Historically, grilling has been my limitation. I have tested everything from stovetop grill pans to contact grills (aka George Foreman) to broiler pans. And when I say tested I mean I read reviews and buy appliance to only give them away or donate then (Google “Housingworks”, a wonderful charity).Earlier this week I found this grill. I figured another $60 or dollars wasted but let’s try. THIS APPLIANCE IS AMAZING! Finally I found an indoor grill that GRILLS. After reading multiple reviews I realized the key to an INDOOR GRILL is having vents in the grill grates that allow moisture (oil/fat, juices) to drain away to not steam your food. And grates that get HOT > 450 degrees! This does it!I am won’t say that this grill creates outdoor grill flavors. It’s does and it doesn’t. But what it does do is allow you to grill your food. That’s healthier in itself. BUT if you use, like I do, a combo of liquid smoke, smoked paprika and smoked sea salt you will ABSOLUTELY APPROXIMATE THE FLAVORS of an outdoor gas grill with a smoker! I was in shock. It can be done! It takes a the right grill (this one) AND the right supportive ingredients. And last but not least after trial and error PREHEAT THE GRILL FOR 5-10 Minutes. Forget the light indicator. Let it sit. It will get ripping hot. And then you can adjust the heat accordingly to properly cook the food.Note – Grill marks to ME are nothing more than grill marks. The flavor imparted by browning is clearly real but not ENOUGH from grill marks. If I am going for that then I prefer a full pan seared crust. With a grill I want smoke (charcoal is a no go) and cross hatches for color and a bit of flavor.
