My cheap bedroom TV of two years crapped out on me so I decided to splurge a little. This set seemed to have good reviews so I bought it and it arrived two days later. I’ve had it for about a week now…The TV was packaged nicely. The box was pristine and so were its contents. The set itself looks quite nice with small bezels and a brushed metal finish on the front. The back is plastic, but the TV feels well-made to me. The remote seems kinda cheap, but it gets the job done. I must admit, I had fun playing around with the remote’s included mic so far. Continuing with the design of the set itself, there’s one major annoyance I have with it. At the bottom of it is a switch to disable the TV’s microphone which is nice. While it’s disabled, there are four bright lights that stay illuminated. I really hate this and it’s a blight on what would be a very well-designed set. It also lacks HDMI 2.1.This is my first experience with the Android TV interface. It’s not as snappy as Roku TV it’s replacing, but it’s quite nice and way more feature-filled. On top of that, you get access to the app store. Everything is there. Google account integration was easy. I had no issues. I found myself using Google Assistant to do things on the TV like switching between apps or switching inputs since it’s faster to do so compared to using the interface itself. Now then, for the picture quality. Previous reviews and information had me hesitating on purchasing this TV due to its motion issues. While they are there, it isn’t as bad as the other examples I’ve seen. Yes, the red ghosting is there, but it isn’t that bad. It’s hard to notice. Other than that, the TV is killer. Black levels are nuts. It seems very accurate color-wise once dialed in. The Local Dimming is great. My panel seems pristine. No obvious imperfections jumped out at me. It gets really bright and does HDR justice. I really like the thing and almost gave it a 5 based on picture quality alone, almost. There are a few flaws. Of course, the TV isn’t perfect. Its upscaling is terrible. Anything below 1080p looks horrible. Another thing I must mention (and this is more noticeable than the red ghosting issue imo) is the banding. I saw some banding in low-light/dark scenes. One more thing is the smearing. While gaming, things can get a little blurry while panning the camera in low-light/dark scenes. The motion settings are disabled in game mode which brings about exceptionally low input lag so I don’t know if they help with the smearing.I can’t comment on the stand since I didn’t use it. I also can’t comment on the built-in speakers since I connected the TV to my soundbar immediately. Overall, I don’t think it gets better than this TV for the price. Unless you really need HDMI 2.1 features, I strongly recommend giving this model a shot. There may be some panel lottery involved, but that’s just the nature of the beast unless you feel like spending more.

I bought this tv to replace my 10 yrs old Sharp Aquos. Paired with an Apple TV 4k connected through Onkyo TX-SR393, and I was blown away watching Our Planet on Netflix with Dolby Vision/Atmos activated. Just wow! I don’t think I’d want to go back to watching a non-4k programming again. Amazon delivered the merchandise in perfect condition with extra care. Hisense got a real winner here. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a tv with all the bells and whistles and the best bang for your bucks.

Held it’s own against My $2000 Sony A8G Bravia Oled! I only paid $650 for the 55in ver! Colors are breathtaking, motion makes everything look like 60fps, Ai is well done, hands free voice control is pretty neat, but honestly, the image quality will blow your expectations away. This beats EVERYTHING led in this price, and even beats EVERYTHING from Samsung, Sony, and LG as far as led and qled goes! See Quantum TV on YouTube for an in-depth breakdown, but essentially, DO NOT WAIT! Buy this now. It will keep selling out fast, especially as I show more of this tv off! I’m not sponsored by anyone, so rest easy, this is not hot air or false hype. I genuinely can’t believe this…. See pictures for a taste of what awaits you!

The Hisense H9G is Outstanding / Fantastic in detailed picture, great clarity & brightness & color & sound (from the TV + my 120 watt amplifier & large speakers). When I first got the TV, it played a great video with outstanding sound, better than anything I’d ever heard or seen on any TV, a great introduction to what this TV provides.I’m enjoying the Google Assistant voice control feature & it also allows Alexa to be used if you purchase that. It only provides a Quick Setup Guide but via the Hisense page you can use chat to have their manual downloaded to you (it’s in 3 languages, each 31 pages long – English, French, & Spanish). The Chromecast feature, a nifty way to have android tablet or phone apps displayed on the Hisense H9G (requires TV Cast app to be setup on all devices using that feature). From reviews at rtings.com, this TV has the highest scores for the lowest price ($649.99 new at amazon.com on August 31 2020) of any 55-inch 4K Smart TV as of September 10 2020.

I finally upgraded to a 4k TV from a 2012 Sharp Aquos Quattron 1080p. What I loved about the Sharp was its brightness, motion handling and vivid colors. A lot of the 4k sets I’ve looked at have one or two of those things but not all three unless you spend significantly more money.I was a little worried going with an “off-brand” like Hisense. Then I read the great reviews about last year’s top Hisense sets. Seeing the initial reviews of the H9G and the better specs I decided to pull the trigger and I’m glad I did. The only thing I regret is not buying it a few weeks ago because Amazon and other retailers had the 65″ set priced at $899 versus $949 like it is now. Then, it was sold out everywhere for weeks. The local dimming works fantastic and as a result, black levels are nearly OLED quality. The 120Hz native panel results in excellent motion handling.Colors are vibrant and the brightness is eye-popping.I haven’t done any fine tuning of the picture or color yet other than disabling a lot of the automatic picture processing that is usually on by default. If you’re hesitant about going with this TV because it’s a Hisense, don’t be. Buy it for what it is. A fantastic TV with fantastic features at a fantastic value.

I read up on this TV and looked at YouTube review videos. First impressions (just got it):BTW I have a 65″ LG OLED. The H9 replaces a Samsung plasma 1080p which did it’s duty!H9-Pretty bright.Inky blacks! Very nice. You can see details in shadows. Not just black. Impressive.Picture out of the box is poor. Try rtings.com for suggested settings or have it calibrated. I got it to produce fairly good colors, contrast etc. by using rtings.com suggestions and then tweaking myself. I always turn the color down on my tv’s to improve flesh tones. The various pre-set picture settings for the TV are poor. After you tweak the settings you will not be changing them. Not a big deal to me.My LG has better color accuracy. OLED is perfection. If price is no issue. The looks of the TV straight on are great. Very small bezel. Of course it’s not as thin as OLED but for it’s use in bedroom I don’t care.Audio options – not a great deal. (it does have Atmos). I am struggling with HDMI audio sync with new Yamaha receiver. My Fios remote controls audio (yamaha) for a few seconds after TV starts then goes back to TV audio. Ordered new HDMI cables (mine are old and not 4k rated). So the HDMI handshake is not the best for my setup. My work around – Alexa control of TV and yamaha receiver. I like this part. (New smart TV’s are great!)1080p upscaling is very good.Overall I am happy with this TV. Does it come close to OLED? Well, fairly close. Close enough for me that it’s price (50% of OLED) makes it a game changer. Thus the 5 star rating.

Have a TCL 6 series, but needed another TV. Really glad I decided to get the 65H9G!! The overall picture quality, brightness, colors, and black levels make my TCL look like a 10 year old TV and I’ve only had it for 2 years.Set up was extremely easy and only took about 10 minutes. I thought I was going to miss the Roku interface, but the Android is very responsive and easy to work. The remote is pretty cheap and nothing to brag about.Overall I love the TV and am very happy with my choice.

When i first got this from previous roku tv i hated android os still kind of dislike it. But once i adjusted the color tones and got it dialed in holy cow i wasnt getting hdr in my last tv at all this motion rate makes everything better i feel. I adjusted the human tone -1 hue and it fixed yellowing on the flesh and on some color -1/2 red saturation coloring but ur tv might come working tons better also i found medium color tone is more accurate true to tone then mid low or low which are yellowing. For me tv or youtube i have motion enhancement at smooth or standard while movies film seems to the best. The backlight on this tv is soo bright compared to my last which was a cheap 4 series tcl (lasted 2 year). Have backlight at 15-20% and im in a fairly bright room. When dolby comes on i swear it always jumps it back to 100 have to dial it back. Sucks u cant just have two sections for this and save always for the dolby uhd vs standard hd stuff. I think the os has an issue with sound digital out put to my sound bar determining 5.1 from dolby or 2.1 older formate’s idk just turn it off and back on sometimes works.

Unfortunately my new H9G came with a cracked screen, don’t know how but opened box with anticipation and this🤦🏽‍♂️Back to drawing board once available again.*Update……Purchased elsewhere for $899.00 and it arrived Thursday before they sold out. This Thing is a Lycan🐺 to hell with a Beast, hell I’ll call this thing William for those familiar with the Underworld franchise🤣 Bright bright screen at 1000 nits, Colors are ridiculously vivid and sharp, Black is pure ink, motion smoother then oil, almost too fluid sometimes and HDR is crazy, Compared to my Q8FN, the Samsung does have a slightly sharper image in some HDR content and noticeably better upscale processing though, my main slight complaint is the flesh tones can look grainy and SDR is a lil soft especially on Sling and cable providers who don’t offer much HD content, but after I connected it directly to router with a Cat8 Ethernet cable which provided more data for a stronger signal versus WiFi, this which worked well and cleared up some of the graininess and added a more smooth picture; Plus I haven’t thoroughly tweaked picture yet either so that is a major factor too, but I see HUUUGGGE potential with a solid Calibration this thing will probably beat the Q8FN and rival the Q9FN easy. Sound quality is very good with Dolby Atmos feature built in speakers are sufficiently loud for me, 65” is in medium sized living room and gets plenty loud even though I have a sound bar and subwoofer hooked up to it, and no lip sync issues like previous models. Hisense is a Contender in 2020 that other Brand will now have to Respect. Once they perfect their SDR image upscaling Sony better watch out, Hisense has figured out motion to a tee. So to the Big 3, be warned Hisense is here and at this Performance, quality and price their here to Stay.Update…..one more small gripe is a 75” version is needed, but maybe the XD9G dual cell will be in 75” but that’s what gets me, as premium as the H9G is, this isn’t even Hisense Flagship for this year😅😮 Let me get back to this thing still playing with this, if your trying to decide, stop wasting time we already have told you this thing is💪🏽🐺💪🏽as a matter of fact it’s now sold out EVERYWHERE within 2 weeks. The H9G will be one of the best selling and most popular Models for 2020 without a doubt.
