This is one of those things that you didn’t know you needed it until you had it. Works exactly as described and firmly grasps the phone. iOtties 2yr warranty mitigated my concern over the longevity of the motor and charging mechanisms. (Past warranty issue was handled without any drama.) A number of “little improvements” from their previous chargers are nice. (Hopefully the next generation will upgrade to USB C connectors)

OK i’ve been driving around with this thing for a week now and absolutely love the thing. I wanted to share my thoughts for anyone in the market to buy a phone mount for their car and address some of the major points of concern for people as I’ve seen in the reviews. I did a fair amount of research into a phone mount for my car as my last vent mount crapped out on me, and I wanted one that would wirelessly charge my phone and had the auto clamp feature as well. Here are a few things to highlight about this mount:STABILITY/SECURITY: So far in driving around the bumpy, potholed streets of Chicago this thing has kept my phone very secure and stable once its locked in to the mount. This was a major point of concern for me as my last vent mount would shake around and fall off whenever i hit a bump. I use the iOttie as a dashboard mount, and with the little stabilizing plate that comes with it, the whole apparatus stays very secure and doesn’t wobble around much at all when I’m driving. 5 stars in this aspect.Qi Wireless Charging: I noticed a lot of people complaining about the charging speed of this thing and other similar products. I would just like to remind all the complainers that this is a WIRELESS QI CHARGING phone mount. Obviously its not going to charge up your phone as fast as a traditional plug in charger. However, in my experience on the road (I do food deliveries, meaning my phone is on for hours straight with maps and other apps running) this thing gives me just enough charge for the whole day. On average I’d say i gain about 10% for every 30 minutes on the mount. This isn’t bad considering you can always plug your phone in to an actual charger (using the lighter plug in that comes with this cord not included) if you really need a boost. I also use a fairly thick case on my phone and the charge still works. 4/5 starsAuto-clamp feature: This is one of my favorite features. The auto clamping arms are reliable and sturdy. Once you put your phone to the mount the arms automatically open and close after one second. The buttons on either side also work very well, you can push either one individually or both at the same time to open the clamps. Once inside the clamps my phone doesnt move around at all. 5 starsInstallation: Fairly easy to install, directions that come with it are a little vague, but with time and a fair practicality I got everything set up in 30 minutes. It only took this long because it recommended letting the dashboard stabilizing plate sit for 15-20 minutes before placing the suction cup on. Highly recommend doing this. 4.5/5 starsOverall, this thing was worth every penny. The versatility of installation methods gives you the option to hold your phone in whichever way you choose based on your cars set up. The clamp is reliable and secure even in bumpy off road conditions. The charge is consistent and although not equipped with lightning charging speeds, it gets the job done. Highly recommend!

First off love this company really great customer service. The first one I bought lasted me quite some time before the bridal pressure plate broke off but I called the company and they quickly help me no problem. But when I saw this I thought wow I have to have it. Works great and has the same abilities the old one has they just made a great product better going to buy more for my family on Christmas 😁👍🏼

This thing is amazing! I just started DoorDash/Uber eats and needed some type of mount so I could see my phone. I opted with the clamp style vs the magnetic as I read some reviews that if you have a heavier phone (I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max) that sometimes your phone can flip upside down or completely fall off and I do not want to risk the phone either falling in the middle of a drove or fall and crack the screen. So I got this clamp map and it works 100% of the time. Every time you put the phone up to the clamp it will auto open and you just set the phone in the clamp and it auto closes and I will tell you it holds the phone tight, it’s not going anywhere. If for any reason you loose power then you can easily pry the clamp open to get your device. The air vent mount holds onto the vent fairly tightly so I’m not worried about my phone going anywhere. Overall I am very happy with this car mount and highly recommend it. PS: I saw someone posted this can’t keep the phone charged while the screen is on, while using DoorDash/Uber eats and Waze with the screen on full brightness it does charge the phone, slower than normal since your using a lot of power but it will charge the phone and keep it charged.

Let me tell you this is a COOL product. I have use a handful of other phone dash mounts and most on Amazon are cheep and break after a few uses or never work the way advertised. But the iOttie product exceeded my expectations and is at a fair price point. Just ordered another one for my Mother. I suggest buying one for every car you own you won’t be disappointed.

I have been searching for the perfect phone mount for my car for a while now and thank goodness I found iOttie. The suction cup is durable and sticks well to windshields and dashboards. The adjustable joints make sure that your phone always stays in the same spot while driving. My favorite accessory is the auto sense clamp around the phone. No more pulling your phone off the clamp and damaging your phone case and mount. It adjusts perfectly to your phone and it extremely convenient when you want to take the phone off the mount. With all these amazing features, I didn’t even get to the fact that it CHARGES YOUR PHONE TOO!!! The charge has lightening speed. Fully charged my phone within 1 hour. Stop buying cheap car mounts like I used to, purchase this mount and never worry again.

I had a similar iOttie wireless car charger before this one. The older one required you squeeze two levers on the side of the phone to release it. That was a somewhat clumsy process (mostly due to the location I had it mounted, which is a little tight between my truck door’s frame and the steering wheel). One of the clips that held the phone in place on the previous model broke, after having used it for several years. This new one with the powered clamp and release mechanisms is fantastic. I’ve seen some reviews about problems with the wireless charging, but I haven’t had any of those problems. And the battery back up is great, in case your vehicle does not power the cigarette lighter when you turn off the vehicle. My only preference would have been if they used a USB-A connection instead of hard wiring to a cigarette lighter adapter. I previously had a cigarette lighter charger that had 4 USB-A ports, which I can no longer use. This charger does give me one USB-A charger in addition to the cord that goes to the wireless charger / phone mount.

Super solid and the auto opening is a an amazing feature…i never ever take the time to with any charger to put the phone in place before i drive, and with this you just hold the phone near the charger, push gently and wala! And it’s great positioning on my prius, clear of radia and other controls, but still easily visible and easy to hit while driving. Solid enough that i can unlock with fingerprint and do a few basic things like turn on map or make a phone call.Beyond that, the last wireless chargers haven’t lasted that long and I promise this will get knocked down to 1 star if like the others it fries out not long after the warranty expires.
