Display port cable provided, not HDMI. You can use hdmi, but unless you have an ultra high speed hdmi, you may only be able to get 120hz out of the full 144hz. (So I bought an ultra high speed hdmi, rocket fish brand, from bestbuy. $55 for 8ft. I did not have any flickering lines issue using this type of hdmi. I did not even have to put in hdmi compatibility mode (which means I get the full 144 hi, not capped at 120.)Aside from the HDMI limitations I give this monitor 5 stars. What a paid in the head. My laptop doesn’t have a display port. Sheesh. After some serious research I was very happy with the end result. FYI this monitor supports 1.4 DP, and 2.0 HDMI. The only change I made to the hardware settings was reducing brightness and contrast. (I recommend having a desk that is at least 26-28 inches deep. Mine is 23 inches and it’s a bit too close for a monitor this big)

I’ve had this monitor for a bit over a month now and I am very pleased. This is my first monitor for my first ever pc build for gaming and streaming movies, shows etc. I was a bit worried getting a 27” monitor at 1080p resolution because of so many people saying to not go over 24” with a 1080p monitor but the image quality on this monitor is good enough that you hardly realize (most of the time) any overly jagged edges. Now that’s not to say that there aren’t jagged edges, they are present but when gaming or watching a show you’ll almost never notice (unless you’re extremely picky). The refresh rate is incredible. If you’ve never gamed on a 144hz refresh rate, let me tell you, it will blow your mind how smooth it is especially if you’re coming from the typical 30 – 60fps experience from last gen consoles. The colors are pretty nice but the lighting in dark areas tend to bleed a bit. I was watching a music video that was filmed in a very dark room with some lighting around the band and it’s noticeable. The rest of the imagery looks great. Color, refresh rate, resolution but if I had one complaint it would be the light bleeding.

I love IPS panels. Their color accuracy and range is incredible and they look more true to life when compared to TN. While the advertising says 1ms it is important to know that NO IPS can do 1ms. However, as someone who has gamed on a TN panel before I can hardly tell the difference. So it’s refreshing that this IPS monitor is incredible. It comes pre-calibrated from the factory so you don’t have to and it looks stunning. it blew away my old IPS monitor that I used; 99% sRGB range is incredible. And I think this is exactly why despite being 27″ it still manages to look good at 1080p. It comes free-sync and for me most importantly G-sync. Paired this with my 3700x and GTX1080 and every game looks smooth and stutter-free. As I said before this monitor is not 1ms but more like 4-6, it comes with a motion blur reduction thing but, don’t use it. It adds ghosting to your images and makes twitchy movements nauseating. Plus, you can’t use it with Free-sync or G-sync either so it’s pointless. This monitor came with a 120hz out of the box at least for me. If you’re using an Nvidia GPU make sure to set it to 144hz in the control panel. Speaking of which I was able to overclock this thing all the way up to 255hz, your mileage will vary but this thing surprised me. (it’s also worth noting that apparently people get a message when you OC the refresh rate too high. I’ve never had this happen to me) High refresh rate is awesome though, especially in FPS. It’s incredible how it helps you track and in my experience even helped me have better aim. It comes with HDR but do not get this for HDR. If you want to experience HDR look elsewhere. This is not 4k, it only has an 8bit panel instead of 10bit, and it has a peak brightness of only 350 nits. You need 1000 for HDR. All in all, this is an incredible monitor the only thing I highly suggest you do once you have it all set up (apart from fixing the refresh rate) is to set black stabilizer down. Mine came by default at 70 and it made black images look more like grey. I put mine down to 5, so I would just play around with it.

I purchased this monitor for my wife as an upgrade from her old 24inch Acer. I have the 1440p 27GL83A-B and I am absolutely in love with it so I had to check out the 26GL650F for her. It came down to this or an ASUS featuring 165hz, but I ultimately went with the LG 27GL650F based on my experience with the 27GL83A-B, and I am glad I did. The picture quality is fantastic and it has everything I love about these monitors such as the minimal sleek design, great picture quality, little to no blurr, it’s just a lower resolution at 1080p. My wife loves it so I am happy! I highly recommend the 27GL650F if you’re looking for a high refresh 1080p gaming monitor.

I’m a gamer and let me say first that I went from a 32″ 4k hdr 60hz monitor to this one. I was worried going back to 1080p was going to be hard, especially at 27″ considering the dpi. All I can say is that this monitor is great and I am going to be using it full time and boxing the 4k up for now. Going from 60hz to 144hz is amazing and I think, way more advantageous than the increase in resolution. Now 1080p at 27″ doesn’t look super sharp with text but it’s not bad at all and there is no screen door effect or visible pixels. Trust me I’m super picky about this stuff and I and pleased with this monitor. It’s also super bright and it being ips, has great colors. I barely have any backlight bleed and zero dead pixels. I truly believe LG is the company to be beat in gaming monitors especially since they make their own panels. It’s my second LG and I won’t hesitate to buy from them in the future. The HDR isnt true hdr but it does add a great deal of depth and detail to most games. Mind you some games have poorly implemented HDR and look terrible, but the good ones look great. Don’t hesitate to buy this if you want a good gaming monitor. I would Also say that this IPS display at 144hz is a way better display than the 240hz tn panels is every way and I’ve owned both types.

Purchased this as a secondary monitor. Using Nvidia control panel can be set for 12 bit and 444 and 120 or 144Hz. Real HDR youtube videos will just blow your mind on this monitor. Yes even at 1080. I am waiting for the 1440 version of this (27GL850) to be out to replace my main monitor. Just a few notes: those waiting for the newer version of this 1080 monitor, no need unless you want the faster refresh rates. I am running this at 120 for sake of videos, and it’s solid. Also for those with Nvidia cards, need a 10 series or higher card to run HDR via a DP connection. HDR works only via HDMI for 900 series cards, which is the case for me as the 970 is my second video card. All of the features work fine on a 10 series or higher card via DP, HDR and adaptive sync.

Super happy with this purchase. True plug and play, as all monitors should, didn’t take long to go through the optimization steps. I have 144hz on my laptop screen but it hits different playing on a 16″ screen vs a 27″ monitor. For sure a must-get if you’re looking for a great monitor at a great price. I didn’t use the stock HDMI cord that came with the screen, I used a 48Gbps cable that supports 8K at 60hz, I got this type of cable to avoid any potential bottlenecking.

This Monitor is amazing for gaming, the 144HZ refresh rate is a real game changer, the moment i switched from 60HZ to 144HZ i knew i would never go back to 60HZ monitor ever again, I’ve tried playing games since on a 60HZ and its like trying to mow your lawn with a butter knife, The Radial button for the settings is really nice, it makes it so u can control the monitor with just one button, it has a bunch of settings including the option to put a cross-hair permanently on your screen for games, If your a “cheater”, the only gripe i have with it is that when watching movies it has weird pixelation during black scenes, but i really only use this for gaming anyway so if u wanna watch movies/shows on this monitor its probably not for you, but for gaming the pixelation isn’t a problem for some reason.

Build quality is solid and comes with a short, high-speed DVI cable, so if you want to use your own cable you cannot cheap out or it won’t work at 144Hz.Response is great at medium “fast” setting (normal/fast/faster), unlike ghosted images in cheaper, but still 144Hz monitors. Clean and clear playing Paladins. When enemy character uses instant dash skills I can actually see it moving, instead of being at one spot and then seemingly “teleporting” nearby.Uniformity is good as I pull up a white screen, it looks evenly white across the screen without variations in intensity or color temperature. One downside for me as I use it for more than gaming is the backlight is hair dimmer about 3/8″ around the edges if you look for it. But this is actually typically intentional in most popular “gaming” monitors and this LG one is not as bad as Asus PG/VG since I don’t notice it as often with this LG.Oh and for those who know how, this monitor’s Freesync works with nVidia Gsync with 1070Ti lol*The only IPS I could find at the time of purchase.

I received this product only one day ago, but so far it has impressed me. It has met or exceeded everything one should expect at this price point.Setup an Installation was easy. The mount and arm came on in 5 minutes. The monitor came with a DisplayPort cable that supports HDR10, so that was a welcome addition.Turning the monitor on, surprisingly, was a bit of an issue, and my only real problem with the monitor. The cylinder connector that powers the monitor is very stiff, and you have to apply some pressure to fix it in, even though the connector doesn’t go through all the way. It took me some time to realize this as the monitor wouldn’t turn on.The monitor is very versatile. The vertical viewing angles can be adjusted, and the height itself can be adjusted a lot. In addition, the monitor can be put in portrait. The 144Hz monitor means very smooth gameplay. Games like Rainbow Six Siege and CS:GO feel just so much more responsive. And it really can make the difference in close encounters with enemies. And Freesync makes such a huge difference as well. Before, I had so much trouble with screen tearing in games, especially 3rd person shooters like GTA V, that I had to turn on Vsync. Of course this led to performance issues. Now I can get a smooth experience without any of Vsync’s downsides.Even though the primary aspects of gaming monitors are response time and refresh rate, this monutor’s picture quality is superb as well. The 350 nit display makes very crisp bright whites. The 99% sRGB reproduction makes this great for amateur photo and video editing. Of course, the brightness band 10-bit color allow for HDR10. Now, I don’t see HDR as a huge reason to buy this monitor. Windows 10’s default HDR is broken. I tried turning it on and got a really gross screen, with text seemingly at a lower resolution. And if you have an AMD graphics card, you won’t be getting any Netflix HDR. I tried and couldn’t get it. Apparently it’s only for Intel iGPU’s and Nvidia cards. But playing games like Battlefield and Resident Evil in HDR is quite nice.Overall it’s a great buy, and sits comfortably as a mid-range monitor. There are probably cheaper 144 Hz monitor, but I think the 10 bit color and HDR 10 of this could justify the price for you.
