10 reviews for Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse with Esports Grade Performance Video Games

  1. Just Jim

I’ll be brief, since there are already so many reviews here. What I like about this mouse is that it is comfortable to use. I can use a variety of grip techniques with it throughout the day and it still feels comfortable. This means less fatigue and stress for me. I did not realize how important the light weight would be, but it is. The mouse simply glides in an effortless fashion. I’ve had no trouble with the buttons hitting each or with double-clicking. I find the clicking to be very positive and it eases dragging and dropping. So many mouses(?) I’ve used will “unclick” while dragging and the object remains stranded in limbo at some unintended spot and I have to retrieve it. The battery life is excellent even though I like to leave the light effects on. They look pleasing to me and who doesn’ t need a little whimsy and silliness now and then? I use a mouse for long stretches at a time and I appreciate how this mouse does what I want it to do. It does not have the hyperspeed scroll nor does the scroll tilt left and right. The functions are minimalist. The scroll feels great with the right balance of clickiness and speed. I do not miss being able to free the wheel for free spinning. This mouse is WAY too expensive, but I use a mouse so much I felt justified in the expense and I do not regret my decision. I really like this mouse.

When I first got this mouse I wanted to return it because of how the shape is.. I keep trying to find ways to justify the purchase price of $150. Then I gave it a chance and use it for a few hours. I went back to my old mouse (Razer Mamba Elite) then I was like wow what the hell? Why is the mouse so heavy now. Then I went back to the G Pro Wireless then it feels like I’m not even holding a mouse in my hand. It feels like a very precise instrument that activates with my finger and hand. Then I realize the price that I’m paying for is the1. Wireless2. Weight3. RGB on a wireless mouse4. Built in battery (g305 had to add in your own battery, alkaline and lithium still makes the mouse heavier 14g vs 9g additional)5. Shape. And my mouse did have the LMB and RMB touching when pressed down together, but so? Who else gonna make a mouse like this with all those specs combine. If you have that issue just get a piece of 200 grit sandpaper, cut a small piece, fold it in half and put it in between the buttons, press the buttons down together and grind some plastic off lightly. The issue disappears, leaves no traces of modifications, and then this becomes the perfect mouse with no complaints.Trust me. This is the most precise mouse you will buy at the moment until the other brands try to copy it.

This is my favorite mouse. I own one of the original deathadders, deathadder elite, G502, G Pro and now the G Pro wireless. My hand size is 19cm x 11cm. My grip is mostly a fingertip and palm hybrid. The mouse is really light, the shape feels good and the clicks are kind of soft but satisfying. The wireless is good, I haven’t noticed any difference between my wired mouse and this one. The battery is good, it lasts 48 hours of constant use with the lights on. The sensor is good, everything is good.My unit does not suffer from any of the reported click problems, etc. Mine is from batch 1825 and I ordered the mouse the same day the listing came up in Amazon. If the shape and/or mouse size fits your hand and you are okay with price, go for it. This is the best mouse.

G Pro WirelessThis is a long review, not just because I have a lot of notes, but because the review detail should be directly proportional to the price tag.The Basics:The Logitech G Pro Wireless (GPW) is an 80 gram, RGB, ambi, wireless mouse with removable side buttons for both sides and inserts which allow a smooth surface in lieu of a button if desired. There are 7 buttons total plus a DPI button on the bottom which doesn’t really enter into any of my math. Its HERO 3 sensor goes from 100 to 16000 DPI in steps of 50. There is zero accel or smoothing with this sensor and it is supposed to be the most advanced optical on the market. Expectations were very high with this mouse and after a sense of initial disappointment (likely caused by really high expectations) it took a little while to grow on me, but it did indeed. The Good:- No squeeks, creaks or rattles. The fact the production quality is high is a welcome relief given the price point.- The shape is nice and safe for what should be the majority of users. I was initially put off by the length of the mouse a little, since the butt end initially interfered with my fingertip grip. I was able to adjust after removing the pinky side buttons, and now the mouse is a good fit for my 17.5cm hands in fingertip and an excellent fit in palm. Claw grippers below 19 cm will probably have a tough time here. I think large fingertip, medium palm and really large claw grip users will be most happy with the GPW.- The clicks are light and responsive, feeling closer to the G303 than the G403, just a tough heavier. To me it feels like breaking a very very very thin film of glass with each click. Satisfying and tactile. There is no pre/post travel. I did not initially like them as much as the G403, but now I could go either way.- The wireless has no perceptible input delay. Winning.- The mouse feels super agile, even with the cord. The TT Ventus R was the last mouse to significantly impress me with weight and pointability. The GPW beats the Ventus R though with a better shape…and everything else. The 80 gram weight, slick mousefeet, good sensor and decently forward sensor placement combine for a highly “pointable” experience.- Battery life out of the box was 28 hours with full lighting, 1000hz polling and 48% charge. Outstanding.- A mouse does not make you a better player, but a good mouse can at least not get in the way of winning. One of Logitech’s advertisements alluded to this when it shows the mouse disappearing from under a player’s hand. I now have to agree that the mouse doesn’t feel “amazing” so much as it feels “absent” in-game due to the combination of wireless, lightness and neutral shape. I prefer the feel of the G403, but the in-game performance with the GPW was truly excellent, zero issues. I initially played with the mouse wired and then played in wireless mode to see if I could tell a difference. The difference was noticeable, and the user experience between wired and wireless went from very good to great.- The new HERO sensor is fantastic. This is the first mouse with a HERO sensor that I’ve tried and I am finally a believer that the 3366 can be improved upon. Knowing that I am human, I rationally don’t think there is any way I should actually be able to perceive an improvement from the 3366 that I’m used to. That said, I am sure as heck enjoying a strong and sustained sense of placebo in favor of the new HERO sensor. The sensor feels incredibly snappy and accurate at the same time. When I first set up the mouse, DPI was set to 1100 and felt even higher than the 1300 used on my G403. When I realized this, I bumped DPI up to 1300 to get a comparative feel. At 1300 DPI it the combo of wireless and snappy sensor felt equivalent to 1600 DPI on the G403, but without any decrease in accuracy, in fact accuracy improved, probably because the 1300 DPI was actually close on both mice and I had the muscle memory without the cable. Even with the cable attached to the GPW, the feel of snappy accuracy does not go away. Thus, I attribute this to the HERO sensor (possibly the slick mouse feet) and not the wireless capability or weight. In accuracy testing, results averaged just over 93%, on par with my previous aiming champ, the G303.- Middle click is moderate resistance with a muted feedback and there is nice rubber coating on the scroll providing good grip.- Scroll wheel has fairly light resistance with good bumpy scroll steps, good for FPS. The scroll wheel is quiet without any rattling when shaken or when scrolling quickly, so not bad for browsing either. If it had been me, I’d have lowered the scroll wheel a couple mm lower into the mouse – feels good but slightly high for my taste, much like the MM520.- Thumb buttons are well placed and easily accessible with very light actuation compared to my G203 with snappy feedback. There is barely perceptible pretravel on all of them, not noticeable in game and well worth the cost of the modularity involved. My user experience went from an 8 to a 9.5 after I’d put in the flat inserts on the pinky side of the mouse and subsequently changed my grip to something more comfy.- There is a slot for the wireless USB receiver in the bottom rear of the mouse to help you keep it safe – nice touch.- The surface texture is good and helps keep the mouse controllable. It is not as rough as the G203 but it still provides good grip despite basically feeling smooth.- Last and perhaps least, this mouse can go to the office! The look is professional, understated and maybe even downright pedestrian, which I love. It’s like looking at a Toyota Corrolla and knowing it has the internals of a Porsche. The Middling:- Liftoff distance seems higher than the 3366, but still seems to be under 1.5 DVDs. Coming from my G403 with a (maybe not even) 1 DVD LOD, the difference was noticeable – not bad, but not great.- While I don’t need DPI button on the mouse, I find the option is nice to have. In CS:GO I’ll usually map the DPI button to flash nades instead of a keyboard key. On the flipside, you get a gram, maybe two of weight savings and that adds up. I’d have preferred a DPI button on top of the mouse instead of on the bottom, but on the bottom there’s also no chance that it will annoy anyone.- Compared to the G403, the shape feels blasé’ and uninspired without the premium feel of that mouse. Even though a lot of people compare it to the Zowie FK2, I think its shape and size feels closest to the Nixeus Revel, but without the soft touch finish and the excessively rounded M1/M2. There is still a little rounding here, but it’s pretty good overall. The shape is not bad by any stretch, far from it, just don’t expect some kind of ergo heaven.- The way I hold the mouse, the buttons opposite the thumb do contact one or both mouse buttons, but those buttons don’t stick out enough to actually be useful and actuate. This can be a good or bad thing depending on what you’re after. For me, I had a better experience resigning myself to a 5 button mouse and putting the non-buttons in on the pinky side of the mouse.- The mousefeet are super fast which I love, but as other reviewers have pointed out, they are definitely on the loud side, not scratchy, but definitely rough. Since I play with headphones the majority of the time, the tradeoff is worth it for me, but will annoy some.- My hand seemed to sweat a little more when in wireless mode. It is possible the transmitter in the mouse puts off some heat, but that’s hard to imagine given that heat is wasted energy, and this mouse is very power efficient. I’ll need to continue checking back and forth to determine how strong the correlation is.- The Logitech software needed an update in order to detect the mouse. The Logitech software is still good as ever, but this was a little bit of a hassle and after the software update, the Logitech Gaming Software does not open on the first try on occasion. Even though the Logitech software provides a key press “heat map” that shows how many times you’ve pressed a keyboard or mouse key, it only provides data for a select session that you start and stop yourself. I’d like to see the option for automatic logging of all key/button presses to track total usage of the mouse, maybe even include tracking of how far the mouse has traveled on its mouse feet so you can gauge how close you are to hitting the 250 km lifespan of its feet. The Bad:- The GPW is a bit tail heavy with the PowerPlay module inserted. I recommend not having it in unless you are using a PowerPlay mat and save 3 grams in the process.- The cost. There is just no way around the sticker shock.- This mouse can’t be worth anywhere near its selling price without all its features working. And that means there is a little bit more to worry about when it comes to durability. Yes, there is a 2 year warranty, but that doesn’t mean a break isn’t worth the hassle and it doesn’t mean you don’t want the mouse to last for 5-10 years instead of 2.1. With this mouse you got to worry about the internal transmitter, you’ll have to worry about the number of charging cycles the internal battery can take before it starts to die, you gotta worry about not losing the USB receiver, the button attachments, the USB dongle and the cable itself. None of these things are worries on a wired G403, or any other wired mouse for that matter.- The fact Logitech was able to make a wireless mouse at this weight is a brilliant and calculated move. As sweet as this mouse is, it will be obsolete tech if it isn’t already. Would the GPW release have been half the achievement if they had recently released a 70-gram wired version of the same thing for $50? No. And you can bet that is coming at some point because there is already demand for this mouse, wired, at a $50 price point. The bottom line here is that good things come to those who wait, and a good thing comes to those who don’t. You might save $100 by waiting 10 months, but then you’ll ask yourself, “would the enjoyment of the wireless version have been worth it for $10 a month over the last 10 months?” That’s a tough question indeed for the r/mousereview crowd. (Goodbye NETFLIX!) Gotta love these first world problems.- The Nixeus Revel has a very similar shape and feel to the GPW in the grand scheme of things, weighs only 4 grams more and is wired but currently sells for $35 USD on Amazon. It is unlikely that the difference between the HERO3 and the 3360 could be noticed. If you are looking to not break the bank for a light, ambi mouse with a good shape, the Revel is a much better bang for the buck without hurting your game. The Conclusion:Assuming it holds up, this is an endgame mouse, no question. But people should realize that whether they know it or not, they can always move their goalposts of “mouse perfection” according to their desires and what comes out on the market. As Apple’s empire can attest, it’s the things you didn’t know you needed that get you. This is the kind of mouse that makes you think really hard about what you want in a mouse and want from it. Well, the latest HERO sensor is a win. The lag-free wireless is a win. The 80 gram weight is a win. Putting all these things together is a big win and comes with a big price tag. The GPW is a pricey glimpse into the normative future, and the future looks like a nice place to live if we can avoid asteroids, plagues and nuking ourselves into oblivion (etc. etc. etc…). If you are a seriously competitive FPS player, you get what you pay for. That technically goes for anyone who buys the mouse, but some will get more out of it than others. A non-mouse enthusiast/hardcore gamer will get 99% of the satisfaction out of the G403. Heck, some people might get 99% of the user satisfaction out of a generic $5 office mouse. Fact is, if you are the type of person who can tell a 3050 from a 3360, or a person who can’t forgive the “diversity” of a 100 gram mouse vs. an 80 gram mouse…well, this is a technical work of art to be thoroughly enjoyed.Nit-Noid Rating: 9.4Bang For Buck (@150 USD): C

I love this mouse. The weight, shape, and feel are perfect. The sensor works amazing and Logitech wireless is something else entirely…however within a month of use, I’m already experiencing issues where some left clicks will double click. Or a click and hold would register as double click and release (while I’m still holding the left mouse button down). The middle click is at times unresponsive, or I would have to click multiple times or hold for it to register. Other times, the middle click will register multiple clicks so if i were to try to open a new browser tab, it may open 3-4+. I’m not sure if this is a software issue with the Logitech Gaming Software or a hardware issue, but this is incredibly disappointing for the price point of this mouse. If not for the button issues I’m experiencing, this would be easily a 5 star.Edit #1 (2019-01-10):I originally gave this a 3* review. I contacted Logitech support and received a replacement unit which has been working flawlessly so far. Original unit was batch S/N beginning 1837. Current replacement is 1845. If this lasts, I’ve definitely found my perfect mouse! Logitech support was quick to respond even during holiday season and I’m very happy. Will update if I run into any issues with this unit.

Great Mouse. As soon as I touched it I began to feel a tingle down my right arm. I then grew a goatee and realized I needed glasses, My hair turned black and I shrunk 3 inches in height. I began to speak in monotone only raising my pitch when I got excited. I made global elite in CSGO, Champion in Rainbow Six, killed everybody in a PUBG Lobby in a flick of the wrist.I am now Shroud.Exactly 4 hours after delivery I now have 3 million followers and 100,000 subscribers on twitch. I’m a legend. That was fun. Its a great mouse and feels good in hand. Clicks are responsive with no delay, no skipping of the sensor. You get what you pay for. However the mouse is small. Smaller than my BenQ Zowie FK2. Keep that in mind if you have bigger hands. GG’s yall. I’ll be busy handing out fades.

  7. TaylorTaylor

I never thought I would want to use a wireless mouse for FPS gaming but the GPW has proven me wrong. The wireless ability is literally just as fast as my wired mouse. Now that I know what it feels like to use a cordless mouse I don’t ever want to go back. Even a finalmouse phantom cord is annoying now. I would say that I personally like the finalmouse shape a little bit more since I have slightly larger hands but the GPW fits just fine. The GPW has better buttons and much better scroll wheel. Also Logitech seems to be a good company to buy from if you do have any issues and that played a huge factor in my decision to buy this. Overall most people won’t be able to justify spending this much money on a mouse but if you are a serious gamer and have the funds then give it a shot. Being lightwieght and wireless is the future of gaming mice and I’m excited to see what comes next.

Logitech has pushed the boundaries of wireless gaming mouse. It’s only 80g, long battery life, and the overall design is fantastic. I heard many users complain about the left and right click being overlapped, but that was only a problem on the older version of G Pro wireless. You can contact Logitech for a replacement for the new version that the issue has been fixed.

  9. JeremyJeremy

This mouse is phenomenal!I am a stickler for cables and I have chosen wireless mice from Logitech for the last 2 years.I upgraded to the G Pro Wireless from a G900. I can’t tell a difference in responsiveness between the two. However, I am a huge fan of the newest Hero sensor. I discovered that this sensor has the ability to detect different surfaces and auto-calibrate accordingly. Although I may not need that for a while, I still think it’s a great feature. What I did notice immediately between the two mice is the weight. I feel like I can glide the G Pro across my mouse pad much more effectively. I find myself fumbling my mouse in intense FPS games MUCH less, if at all.One feature I enjoy on my G900 that the G Pro lacks is the scroll wheel lock. I like the ability to unlock the scroll wheel while browsing for increased scrolling times. To compensate, I just keep my G900 nearby when needed.Let me tell you about the battery life on this thing. WOW. I began using the G Pro 24 days ago and I have charged it to 100% once. ONCE. And that was the day that I received it. You should know that I do not use the light effects on the mouse which plays a big part in the battery life. Nonetheless, this battery packs a punch.Because I have a large mouse pad setup, the ability to eliminate cables is fantastic! Logitech completely dominates the wireless mouse realm.

Logitech has done an outstanding job manufacturing a wireless competitive gaming mouse. I personally will never be sold on the idea of a wireless mouse being better than a wired one just because of signal interference alone, this does not detract from the fact that this mouse is indeed a dam good mouse even for fast pace FPS shooters. I will try to go in order writing my review of this mouse from opening to playing with it.*Packaging*For a $150 mouse I expected more from the packaging however I do understand that maybe Logitech wanted to keep things simple. There is no wow factor here just a simple small box wrapped in plastic. Looking at it from the outside you wouldn’t be able to tell this thing costs$150.*Opening*So once I got into the box that looks as though the contents of it didn’t cost $150, I was once again taken aback. Reason being that the mouse was just sitting there unwrapped. The reason this kinda surprised me was because I had to make sure that I didn’t accidentally order a used mouse. Nothing against used electronics but I generally stay away from them because they could potentially have unseen underlying issues, however Amazon and their generous return policy has restored some of my confidence in buying them but I did not want to go that route with this mouse at this price point. The mouse did have tape on the underside once I lifted it from its cradle but again I did double check to make sure that it wasn’t a used product. I removed the tape from the underside and checked the mouse skates for any signs of scratches and everything was cool.*Package Contents*The package contained what you’d expect. The mouse, a wireless dongle, and a cord all wrapped and in good condition. One thing that concerned me that I wasn’t sure about was whether or not the buttons on the right side of the mouse were preinstalled and to my relief they weren’t. The reason I say this is because I prefer not to disassemble my electronics if I don’t have to, if you have to then you gotta do what you gotta do but I work in maintenance and repeatedly taking something apart and putting it back together causes excessive wear and damage and I’d prefer keeping my $150 mouse in pristine condition other than normal wear and tear.*The Mouse*The mouse itself felt great, it felt solid and sound. The shell was sturdy I’m a heavy handed individual and I was comfortable applying normal pressures from my hands to the mouse with fear or it being damaged or broken. The mouse slides gracefully across the mouse pad out of the box so you won’t encounter issues there, I would’ve preferred they used the mouse skates Razer has been using on their largest mice but it is what it is I ordered some Hyperglides to replace them.*Installation*So the mouse is plug & play, I already had G Hub installed and the software recognized the hardware no problem. I didn’t have to update any firmware or anything so that was cool I just plugged the dongle into the computer and turned the mouse on from the bottom and it was good to go.*The feels*So I have large hands and going into this I expected it to be small for my hands and I was correct. I use somewhat of a palm claw hybrid and I found that I had some empty space between my hand and the mouse itself which is kinda like a dead zone and could cause slop when making fast movements. Like I said I anticipated this going in so I can’t say I’m disappointed. The side buttons are nice as well as far as where they are positioned and how they feel when you press them, they’re very responsive. My only gripe would really be to move them back a little but I attribute that to the size of the mouse itself if the mouse was a little larger they’d naturally be further back. The button position in relation to the size of the mouse is fine and about where you’d expect them to be. The two main mouse buttons feel pretty good as well the clicks sound good and feel equally as good I had no double click issues or indications thereof. One thing to really look out for are people buying this product used from someone else who had the double click issue and sending it back then someone else buys the mouse again with the same problem and all of a sudden a lot of people end up sharing the same mouse with the same issue leaving the same review complaining about the same problem. I’ve encountered no double click issue so far. The weight of the mouse itself is great as well it feels really balanced not too light but not too heavy.*Tracking*So this is where the rubber meets the road, I wanted to test just how good this mouse is and if it’s as good as they say it is. I tried this thing out not in Microsoft word or nothing like that I went straight to Apex Legends and COD. I went into G Hub to check my configurations and much to my surprise I didn’t have to do anything another good thing about G Hub is that your settings apply universally to all Logitech mice so because I had profiles set up for one mouse they assumed it’d be the same for this one so that was a good surprise. The mouse tracked very well I have to admit I was impressed for a wireless mouse that didn’t fit my hands that well I performed amicably and even was champion a few games and I’m not one to argue with results. The mouse tracked even my most minute movements without skipping a beat.*Conclusion*I was on the fence about even picking up a wireless mouse because I wasn’t sure if the technology was really ready for competitive gaming but it has come a long way. My only real issue with wireless is the batteries, no matter how good the battery may be eventually it will wear out and turn your wireless mouse back into a wired one Logitech could circumvent this by making the battery removable but they’d sell less mice in doing so. Which leads me to the reason I chose Logitech over Razer because I’ve had to trash a wireless mouse once already in the past granted the technology back then isn’t what it was today. I’ll hold on to the mouse because I like it and it performs it will be the one in the arsenal. I’ve attached some photos of the mouse alongside some more other popular mice in the game for size comparison. Enjoy.
