Better than iphone SE, it can play .webms on 4chan and doesn’t shut off below 35 degrees in the wind on a bycicle. At first, I thought it had problem connecting to the at&t network indoors, but the issue resolved automatically somehow in a few days.

  2. Charles Soderquist

Easy setup with Google, transferred all of my contacts and apps within an hour. Everything works as it should, a lot faster than old Motog6. Fingerprint reader is handy. Set up with Mint mobile for only $15 a month, beats $70 a month Verizon plan.

This phone is a little big, but I guess thats normal for 2021. Otherwise this phone is awesome. I bought it for use in my car.Otherwise the phone feels premium. I like the design. Its quite snappy and doesnt feel slow. Its almost stock android. Its got great battery life with its massive 5000MAH battery. Has USB-C. If I needed it it has Micro SD. Has a headphone jack. YOU CAN DISABLE THE STUPID NOTCH. No glass back so you wont be screwing the back of your phone with a simple drop. Screen is ok. Camera is about average. For a 160 dollar phone, this thing is quite the deal. This is the reason me and my family has always gotten Motorola phones. They are simply designed well.

It’s a budget phone that sacrifices any sense of a good camera in exchange for a lower price tag and a strong battery life. Sometimes the web browser will freeze up, especially when watching vides on YouTube, and the flashlight sometimes gets turned on somehow but other then that I have no complaints thus far.Phone is big, which makes typing/texting easier then on previous phones I’ve owned. Screen resolution is surprisingly good and paired with the phones size combines for good feelings on the eyes. The previously mentioned flashlight is ridiculously powerful and while I should mention another plus here, I simply have not experienced all the good and bad I can with this phone yet.As for now, I highly reccomend this phone to those whom are:-On a budget-Want a strong battery-Want a big in size phone-Don’t mind a weak phone camera-All the aboveMy Overall Rating so far: 4.6/506/21/2021 updateOccasional problem with YouTube videos in that they will freeze up but not the audio. Can be fixed by exiting the browser or app then opening it up afterwards. It happens here and there, but not enough to worry or bother me.Flashlight somehow can be turned on unintentionally somehow. It once happened and I didn’t realize it was on until my Boss asked me to turn off the bright light aimed straight at her face.It happens more then I would like it to, but this is a budget phone; the performance plays off the price. My original statement still stands, regardless of these minor issues. It’s a solid buy for the reasons stated initially and is a great placeholder for someone saving up to afford a pricey phone.4.5/5

I don’t understand why people spend hundreds more for phones that aren’t that much better than this one. This phone is great! Screen is clear and crisp. Audio quality is good. Performance is great and it’s unlocked. Big battery that last for days! Great camera too. It’s run every app I’ve thrown at it with ease. It looks good and the build quality is great. I like the fingerprint reader being on the back. I can pick up the phone and unlock it with one hand. First phone I’ve ever had that can do that. If I had to pick one thing I don’t like it would be the finish. It’s a bit slippery, but all phones seem that way to me. I always put mine in a case. That eliminates that issue. Go ahead and buy this phone. You won’t regret it and your wallet will love you.

Amazing phone for $170, but the speaker is so bad that sound quality is impacted constantly

Great thing about Motorola is you know what you’re getting. Solid software experience and performance that keeps me loyal to their devices. Granted they cut corners a little with screen resolution and cameras. Overall their phones are a good value and continue to be one of the best bangs for your buck. The Moto G play 2021 has solid performance and a nice 5000mah battery for the price. It’s a nice looking phone. I almost prefer plastic phones I don’t like all these glass backed phones that shatter. I still think Motorola has the best software experience for Android.

  8. OzzyT

I’ve had this phone for a few weeks now, and I love it. I love these Moto phones. For the price, the features you get I think are great. It’s a great screen, and I have no problem with the speaker. The camera works quite well. Yeah, I really like this phone.

  9. Audible Dad

I bought this to replace an iphone 6s. It feels just as snappy. I like this better because the screen is larger and the battery is huge. With android, I can receive and compose texts on my chromebook, which is the biggest pleasant surprise. This phone does not feel cheap to me.One thing to note, after I swapped the sim card (Verizon), the phone could send but not receive texts. Apparently, you have to enable “cdma-less” status with the carrier. This is an online process that you do over the net on your verizon wireless account. I initially ignored the notice from Verizon to finalize the swap in phones. Don’t do that.

First, the bad news. Motorola has discontinued Moto Migrate, so transferring your old phone to your new one, isn’t as easy as it used to be. It took several hours, but almost everything seems to be working. What isn’t working is notification sounds. No matter what I do to set a notification tone for email, texts, I get the Moto sound. Now the good news. This is my 3rd Moto and the best upgrade I’ve done. It’s faster than my last one (E4 Plus which admittedly was ancient.) Photos are great. I had a slight problem getting my old nano sim card to fit into the holder and had to get help from ATT, but they got it in and it works fine now.If you don’t need all the up to the minute bells and whistles and techno wizardry, this works just fine. There’s always an app for what the phone lacks to suit your own needs.
