Works great on t-mobile, simple as it gets but wonderful for 50 bones. Im in my 20s and ditching my smartphone. Wish there were qwerty options still out there but t9 is great on this thing

I am not sure what the problem other people are having. I wanted my kid to have a dumb phone. I bought SpeedTalk Mobile Preloaded Prepaid GSM SIM Card . I easily got it working on volte (lte) data works, but I don’t want the browser to work so I disabled images . I wish I could uninstall the browser.Texts and calls work no problem. Time stamp on the phone and on the phones receiving the texts show up with the right time stamps.

I needed to upgrade my ancient 3G cell phone that I had been using with Tracfone. I didn’t want an Android, and Apple’s pricing for what little I want (just voice and an occasional SMS message) doesn’t seem a reasonable proposition. When I started looking around, I was pleased to see that there do appear to be some solutions and the one that I kept finding reference to was this Nokia 225. I wanted to keep my telephone number, and I used the KYOP package from Tracfone to purchase a new nano-SIM card.Interestingly enough, the Tracfone package actually has three SIM cards in it (AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon LTE), each of which resizable to nano, micro, and standard size. I tried the AT&T at the nano size, and it has worked so far. The transfer of the telephone number, days of service, and minutes was uneventful using the Tracfone website interface. Hopefully, this will continue to work as 3G is decommissioned.

Producto apto para trabajar con cualquier operadora en Panamá. Buena amplitud de señal. excelente para llamadas desde puntos donde generalmente no hay buena recepción.

If you carry around your smartphone, there is always the temptation to use it too much. At least for me. So the nice smartphone is now locked up in a box. I was looking for a 4G LTE feature phone as 3G is not existent anymore in my area and 2G only has a vestigial allocation with T-Mobile based carriers which results in dropped calls and poor audio quality. This one is the direct replacement I use for the Nokia 3310. Universal screen protectors fit much better as the screen is not curved. The audio quality is excellent. I only wish they would make one for CDMA based carriers as well so that it could be used on Verizon which undoubtedly has better coverage out in the boonies. But the quality of the GSM carrier based Nokia 225 is great. No regrets. I am using it with a magnetic charging plug in the micro USB socket which permanently stays in there – so I don’t have to use a micro USB cable – those flimsy connectors are not made to last but that’s not NOKIA’s fault of course. Nonetheless they should’ve kept the round DC plugs from back in the days when NOKIA was the leading company for cell phones.

I was able to get this 4G Nokia 225 Bar phone to work well for both my AT&T Prepaid plan and my T-Mobile Simply Prepaid plan with the following steps:Tip 1-Put in the SIM this way to get recognized: Place the SIM in plastic side up/metal contacts down with the diagonal in the upper right corner, then slide the metal bracket slightly to the right to physically lock the SIM in (you will hear and/or feel a click) I had to use a tiny flat screwdriver(for glasses or phone tool) on the middle of the 3 holes to get enough force to click it into place. See pictures-tiny screwdriver not included.Tip 2-Power On: 2nd button down on the right side of the keypad. Hold it down and count for 5-10 seconds until you see “Nokia” light up. Power Off: Unlock, *(asterisk), then same button and hold as Power On. (See pictures)Pros: The phone worked on both AT&T and T-Mobile in the Chicago, IL area of the USA. It is lightweight and is just like the old Nokia phones of the past, but also updated to 4G for US compatibility(2021). It was priced low enough and also has Bluetooth to use my existing number/provider for calls in my car while I am testing the other provider’s internet from my smartphone.Cons: I wasted a lot of time before figuring out the above 2 tips.My story: After an hour or more of trying and rebooting, I honestly thought my SIM was incompatible or that the phone wasn’t unlocked to work with that provider and had spent an hour or more each, one evening and the following morning, before trying the other provider’s SIM. It was then, with a bright light shining a specific direction before seeing the instructions printed on top of the SIM locking mechanism. Afterward, I was able to get both provider’s SIMs to work easily. See pictures-tiny screwdriver not included.I also had intermittent trouble getting it to turn On or Off before remembering my old Nokia bar and flip phones from 15+ years ago and that the button has to be Held Down for at least a full+ 5 seconds before it powers up-See pictures. Its been so long since I’ve worked with a sliding metal plate to lock down a SIM, and can easily see why other reviewers thought their loose SIM or non-existent service was the fault of a bad phone.Hopefully, the above 2 tips and pictures will help you, as they are either missing or not clear enough in the included paper instructions.

I have been utilizing some older models that, generational wise, are starting to be phased out. So when switching to a new carrier I needed supported model with just basic features. I prefer a basic phone, and all options seemed to be of the smartphone variety. Enter the Nokia 225. Nokia has always been a trusted name in the basic/feature phone arena. They came though again with this one. All of the simple features that you would want in a cell phone wrapped into a simple, hard to damage package. The phone is nice and solid and the call quality is great! I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for an updated, simple phone.

This phone does what I needed it to do for my preteen kid which is strictly call and text. If you’re looking for a dumb phone for your young children this phone works. It has a “browser” but by not connecting to wifi and not getting any data (I use tello no data monthly plan) it simply does nothing. Texting is a little tricky for someone who never experienced pre-smart phone era but my daughter quickly got hang of it.It works on T mobile network so I was able to use Tello 300min free text no data for only $3/mo! I’m going to keep it until she starts high school for a few more years hopefully.

This phone transports me back to the days when smartphones were stuffs of fantasy. This one is the same old nice, small-sized, no-nonsense phone which can be used for normal phone calls. No demands, no complaints, no fuss. All you have to do is to just insert a nano-SIM card, go through the initial but compulsory settings and there you have the phone ready for use. I have been using it with my AT&T connection and so far, it hasn’t given me any trouble — which is exactly what I expected of it.Locking the screen is a bit tricky but once you have figured it out, you will just fall in love with the phone — it’s so palm-friendly and doesn’t make you to glue to its screen, as you would have probably experienced with any smartphone. You may not be able to install social media apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube on it, but the phone comes preloaded with Facebook and its own browser. The battery life is just awesome — far, far better than those of to-day’s smartphones. The battery retains the juice for almost 5 days on the trot, even if you are using it on a regular basis, once it has been charged up to its max capacity. The phone itself is as sturdy as Nokia phones used to be before smartphones took over. To be honest, this little piece of a beauty has gotten an uncanny resemblance with the first ever Nokia phone I had!
