I had purchased two different HDMI to USB connectors in the past and both have problems. Screen flickers were the main problem. I bought this thunderbolt QGeeM USB C and the problems went away. I have been using this connector every day, all day for almost two months now. I can finally use my 2nd external monitor without it flickering off and on all the time. I am very pleased.

It works with my phone, a nice alternative if you don’t have a smart TV, though, you’ll still need to be near your phone to control it, if you can control your phone remotely or with voice commands, then it’s not a problem. I use this to watch movies since my internet seems slower on other devices sometimes, so I go back to my phone and watch it through the TV.

Worked perfectly for a laptop with only one HDMI. It was easy to install: plug in then connect to monitor cable. Works like a charm to go from a laptop with one external monitor to laptop with two external monitors.

I got this HDMI adapter for my Acer Chromebook after sending back a competing adapter that would not output the center channel audio signal. I run the HDMI from the Chromebook USB-C through this adapter to my Yamaha surround-sound receiver. The receiver outputs 1080p video to our projector and sends sound into the receiver that results in perfect surround sound, including proper, clear center-channel. Got this adapter after sending back another nearly identical looking unit that wouldn’t send center channel information to the Yamaha receiver for it to convert to analog audio. Very happy with this adapter!

Does the trick. If your home/work laptop only has 1 HDMI, AND a USB C connection… you can connect 2 monitors to your existing laptop and have more screens to work with. Does a great job with making work easier by allowing more digital workspace (more screens). A must have for any at home worker to maximize efficiencies.

I bought this cable as a backup for the adapter I use in classroom teachings. After testing it on lower resolution videos, it was a plug and play experience. I cannot tell how it would handle 4k video, but it seemed just fine for everything else.The build quality also seems decent. It is a nice metal body, and braided cable. Hopefully more reliable than the average rubber cables that keep breaking …

Works great, it was plug and play, super high resolution! works with chromebooks and regular laptops, doesn’t require additional power supply. Can be used to project on a second monitor, TV screen, projector,etc. It looks really well made solid construction, and it is a must have since all of my newer devices only have a USB-C outlet so this allows you to connect to the most common media connection for external displays which is HDMI. Strongly recommend

In making a new computer/chromebook purchase, I wasn’t able to check with our school tech person regarding the proper device connector for screen projecting. So, I took a chance in browsing the Amazon reviews and examining the output sources on my computer and projector and decided to make this purchase. I’ve had it now for a couple of months and it works perfect with no issues. The picture quality is clear. So, I highly recommend. The device is reasonably priced and works well for the classroom teacher.

This cord is exactly what I needed for my cell to connect to my new projector for casting of streaming shows/ movies from Amazon Prime, etc. At first, it wasn’t working and trouble shooted with the great team at Amazon, but was told I may have to get a chromecast or a casting device. This cord was supposed to bypass having to deal with another device to stream outside my projector. So, the great geeks at the Geek Squad of Best Buy troubleshooted for me. Turns out the app DEX on cells can take over and not allow for casting of streaming networks. Turned it off and has worked like a charm. The cable is long and sturdy and works great!

Installing and using this adapter is pretty darn straight forward, but I had to fuss with things a bit to get it working.I’m using the adapter to connect a low-end Lenovo Chromebook with two video capable USB-C jacks to an AV Receiver, which in turn is connected to an HDMI splitter, which connects to both a TV and a projector. The cable between the adapter and the receiver is 30 feet long.At first, I could not get video to appear at the TV. The Chromebook video blinked and seemed to be switching repeatedly between a connected and not connected state.Since a 30-foot cable is quite long in the HDMI world, I substituted a 6-foot cable. I also changed a setting on the Chromebook under Display mirroring to “Mirror Built-in Display”. Finally, since HDMI is not known for reliable handshake between devices, I changed my procedure so that I made all connections with the receiver turned off. I turned the receiver on only after everything else was set to go.One or more of these items rectified the problem. The video looks great.I recommend you try similar experimentation if you have a problem, before sending it back.As to the adapter itself, it looks well built. The USB-C jack ships with a protective plastic cover to prevent dust or damage before you use it. Please note that this adapter is not rated for 4K 60 fps video – just 4K 30 fps is supported. More expensive adapters are available for 4K 60 fps.
