What laptops are compatible with SideTrak Slide?
Slide is compatible with most Mac and Chrome operating systems. Make sure to install the free DisplayLink driver to allow your monitors to work properly.
What size does my laptop need to be?
SideTrak Slide will fit on most laptops with 13”- 17.5” sized screens. Your laptop dimensions should be at least 11.25” x 8.5”.
What is the weight of the Slide?
The weight of the Slide is 1.65lbs. The average weight of a laptop is about 3.5lbs. The total weight of your Slide and laptop together would be approximately 5.15lbs. Because SideTrak will add some weight to the back of your laptop, it may not be compatible with ultra-lightweight laptops.
What cords do I need to plug in?
To plug SideTrak in, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cord or a USB-C to USB-A cord.
If you have determined that your laptop is compatible, you have installed the free DisplayLink driver, and you are using the correct cord, but are still having problems with your screen, we have an easy solution! Simply reach out to our team for assistance.

Best thing since sliced bread! I actually purchased a second one, used liquid steel to glue them together and now I have 2 monitors attached to my Surface Book 2!!! People think it’s crazy! I think this is the future! 🥳 The monitors are really good, the stand is very steady! I use a stand that I bought on Amazon for $12 so the screen is able to be at an angle in order to keep the weight of the two extra monitors, productivity up +500%!!!! This this is amazing! Don’t buy one, buy two!!!

Being told we’re working from home another 3 weeks, I knew I couldn’t keep working with just one monitor without losing my mind. I was also told by our IT department I’d need a docking station for a portable monitor and I wasn’t taking that as a practical answer and decided to take a chance on this. Thankfully it works flawlessly with the downloaded driver and is going to be a life saver working from home. Once you’re used to 2 monitors, working with one is misery. This comes off if I know I’m staying in the office or I can leave it on if I’ll be working in different offices that day and want the dual screens. If you pull it out until you hear the click, it’s sturdy and works great! I waited for a year to buy this because I thought it was too expensive for what it was; however I feel I should have got it a year ago and saved myself the headache.Keep in mind, if you have a work issued computer, you’ll need an admin to allow changes to the hard drive to download the driver.

I was hesitant to buy this actually. I normally read the bad reviews first to see the potential issues.There were complaints about the magnet wouldn’t stay in place. So I was pretty hesitant.Before I bought this, I bought an 98$ dual monitor just like this in Cottageder website, it came up from facebook ads, I thought it was valid, so my order never arrived. Im pretty pissed of why Facebook would allow fraudulant ads in there.anyway, so i bought this our of desperation.I had very low expectation obviously. But shipment came just after a day (i have to mention it since amazon have pretty great shipment.When I opened it, it was very easy to setup. You have to follow the instruction how to attach it to the back of your computer, there is a reason why you had to stick magnets from your computers back and stick it to the sticky magnet of the monitor, this makes the adhesive work better, with magnets on both sides, it makes it very stable and not wobbly at all like what others complained.Resolution of the monitor is so good, even better than my laptop.Only negative is, the mouse movement is intermittently slow, which means rendering is felt, its not seamless. not sure if its bec of my specs? but I have 8cpu, and pretty reasonable space, so not sure.but overall, it is an excellent purchase. super happy with it. i will recommend this product.putting 5 star rating.

I bought this monitor for my Surface Book 2 and I absolutely love it! I was hesitant to purchase this because I wasn’t sure if it would be too big for the Surface Book 2, but it’s worked out well. It’s easy to install and easy to take off and put back on. If you want a monitor that attaches to your laptop, this is definitely the right choice!

I recently purchased the Sidetrak since many of us are working from home these days. It makes my job and my life easier and does not take up space as a large monitor connected to your laptop would. The customer service rep. (Cody) was amazing and answered my questions. You can use the same Sidetrak on a different laptop if you need to( for work / personal use). It’s interchangeable. I highly recommend this monitor. I’m very happy with it.

I am an accountant working from home and I used to two screens. This is the best idea ever. I use team viewer to work and access my computers in my office and it works great. You can have both screens from your work being shown on both screens at home. The size is perfect for my 17 inch laptop . It is working great and it is very sturdy. I love it. Made my work From home certainly easier.

I’ve been using the SideTrak for a week now and it has been an absolute game-changer for me. The instructions were easy to follow, and installation a breeze.The SideTrak was first whipped into action during a 2 hour long ride in my car as a passenger, and I was utterly impressed with how much I got done with ease, in that amount of time! I am very happy with my sidetrak that came in. This is obviously a company just getting off the ground and getting their first product out there and I was aware of that when I bought the sidetrak. I’m glad I gave them a chance. A very convenient way to have a second screen for your laptop.My only thing is that my laptop is a little older (2016) and so the USB ports do not provide enough power on their own to power the sidetrak. After working with customer service, they provided me with a power hub with 3.0 USB to convert my 2.0. I do have to have the power hub plugged in to use it. Luckily, my partner has a newer laptop (2018) and can use the sidetrak without the power hub.Five-star rating because the customer service was A+++ (thank you, Cody) and this product/company has a lot of potential. I look forward to seeing what they do in the future to improve and expand.

I love this display. My work provides a laptop with a small screen, so multitasking is a pain. I am constantly closing windows by mistake and losing my work. Now I have two screens when I travel. I can now easily use my laptop for work presentations and demos. The sidetrak set up easily in about 5 minutes. The display quality is better than the laptop. They also included extra magnet mounts so my wife can use it too. It’s way cheaper than a desktop docking station and display, and way more portable. It’s great. I love it.

Very happy with the monitor. It arrived Monday and I’ve used it a few times this week. Some people said the vividness was not as good as their laptop but it looks the same to me. It slides out easily and automatically recognized by my Windows 10 laptop. I have an HP Envy. I was splitting my screen using the Windows Task View feature but this is so much better!I had a $70 credit from Amazon and bought a used, like new one bringing the price down to $200. I think that is a better price point – $300 is a bit pricey.
