10 reviews for Sound Bar with Dolby 2.1 CH TV Soundbar with Subwoofer Work

  1. Cody Boop

The unit is incredible for the price. My wife and myself are impressed with the functions of this combo. It has every possible feature you would look for in a sound bar combo and the price is unbeatable. I had shopped around, almost bought a vizio from walmart but the reviews were concerning, seen this unit on Amazon and thought the amount of reviews sold it on multiple levels.I am proof that these reviews are legit. I wouldn’t look beyond this unit 🤘😯

Despite the abysmal packaging from Amazon (just toss it in a box big enough to fit end to end, never mind the extra space top to bottom and ZERO padding – and the box was pretty beat up when it got here USPS) – the actual soundbar was so well packaged in its own box that there was no damage to the actual product. The unboxing was well thought out, with clear instructions on the box and everything accessed in the order you needed it. All the cables included seemed quality, and it was super easy to plug the sub into the main soundbar and the hdmi cable from the TV to the bar. And then… it just worked thanks to the magic of ARC technology!Tested the p28 out with both music and a movie – and wow! The bass is solid, the dialogue is crisp, and I can’t believe how much nuance I was missing from regular TV speakers. (I even muted the sound bar and turned the tv speakers back on just to make sure I wasn’t imagining it.)It isn’t quite the same as a surround sound experience in the theater, but it gets pretty danged close. I am REALLY happy with this purchase. The included remote has controls for bass and treble, and presets for movies, music, and news, but the TV remote can actually control the volume thru the HDMI cable. So you don’t need the extra remote, but may want to keep it handy for adjustments.

    Awesome Sound! Great Customer service!

Arrived well packaged, no damage. Very easy to set up, connected automictically. Much better sound than the Vizio that it is replacing. Very clear sound with a good bass. news and other spoken voices are much clearer and understandable, at all sound levels. Remote nicely designed and works well. Hope that it last and continues to sound as good as it does now. This is a great 2.1 option for good sound. My only issue, no fault of the product, is that subwoofer box is a little taller than the space I need it to go. So I placed it on its back. sound is the same, hoping that it does not cause any issues.

The sound quality and bass are just right. No tinning noise, the bass is sufficient without pounding off the walls and the price point is excellent for what you get. I have seen other sound-bars that are more expensive and do not offer what this sound-bar does. I am very pleased. I set it up by myself (no experience) and the directions were very good. I set it up to my new Samsung smart tv. I used the HDMI-arc cable and attached that to my hdmi-arc spot on the back of the tv. No sound. I read the instructions further and realized that my tv has a setting that needed to be switched to PCM sound. It worked! So, if your tv does not automatically switch to PCM sound (found in settings) you will have to find it and do it manually. It was very easy to find on my tv. So, if you hook everything up and you still dont have sound check the PCM sound setting. I had this all set up in about 20 minutes and this is my first time ever setting anything up like this. Just be patient and READ the instructions. They really are simple to follow. I recommend this purchase to everyone who wants quality sound at a low price point. It feels like I am in a theatre without being over-whelmed. The remote has different sound settings depending on what you are watching. Love, love, love

All sound bars with “built-in” subwoofers really don’t have subwoofer sound quality, unless your willing to pay $700-1000. They do have a bunch of technological trickery to make you think they can handle the low tones, but in most cases there’s really no substitute for a bigger box handling lows exclusively. My $200 Yamaha ATS1080-R Sound Bar with “Built-in Subwoofers” is embarrassed by this $99 unit. The 5.5” separate subwoofer is perfect for a bedroom/kitchen/office. It can get plenty loud without distortion in a smaller room. I disagree with some who claim the mid tones are weak. We found dialogue clarity significantly better than the highly rated Yamaha, which has a dialogue enhancement setting! Music sounds deep and immersive in smaller rooms. But even in a 500 sq. ft. Guest Bedroom, it sounded much better than we expected. No, it’s not as good as our Yamaha 5.1 SSR set-up, but that set-up is huge, complicated, and cost $1500.This is a nice, simple, compact set-up. The remote is well-designed and easy to use with multiple ways to connect to any TV or audio device. Bluetooth 5.0 is a big plus for wireless connectivity. We haven’t had the 8 sec “sleep” problem others have mentioned. If there’s a long quiet passage, it doesn’t go to sleep. It’s not a wireless subwoofer, but it’s not that big, with a long cable to place it somewhere out of sight. Even next to the TV works, as you can see, because its black, tall and slender, you just don’t see it.If I had to find a fault, I’d say the LED behind the sound-bar grill is brighter than it needs to be, but a small piece of black electrician’s tape solved that…

We love this soundbar! Early Christmas present for my boyfriend who was just TOO persuasive for his own good and just had to know ‘what the big box is’ under the tree. Needless to say this is somethings he’s been mentioning for awhile so naturally – I had no choice to get it for him lol. He truly didn’t expected to get it as he had never owned one. I although I grew up in the luxury of my parents surroundsound theater I never got to invested in my own so with that said, living in a studio apartment I was cautious about just how ‘powerful’ I needed a bar to be. THIS bar does the job! Movies seem richer, video games have more depth and it fits snug right infront of our 55in and only rises past maybe less than 1/2 inches from the bottom of the tv so minimally disruptive. I swear I’m hearing more details I never noticed on movies and games. And personally I know some say they’ve had issues but we had zero issues connecting and were soooooo happy with the base the subwoofer provides! If you’re looking for a great small space speaker this is it. And it’s just a plus it connects to our phones 🙂 5 stars from us! Would highly recommend

Received the soundbar today and hooked it up with the HDMI cable. It did the rest. Such an easy setup. I immediately went to Prime Video and checked out the movie sound and I have to say that there is a bunch of bang for your buck here. I was going to buy the Samsung Q60T 5.1 but after reading a good number of the reviews I noticed something very consistent with a lot of the negative reviews and that was that Samsung support was a big pain you know where to get them to fix problems and that sometimes the wait time was a week for a Technician. I don’t know about you but if I buy something new and there is problems getting it going the last thing I want is to have to wait a week for the problem to be looked at and quite possibly not fixed on that day. So I kept looking and ran across this little gem. It was almost exactly half the cost with the extended warranty and I have to tell you I don’t think I could be happier. The sound is big, bright and full and bass and treble are adjustable. I found 3 presets on the remote: NEWS, MOVIE, MUSIC. It also automatically connected to the TV remote and the Cable remote for volume control. Like I said “I couldn’t be happier”. Now…I just received it today and I will update in a few months or if I have any problems occur and fill you in on the details of how well the problem was handled. But going by the reviews it sounds like this Company takes care of its’ customers.UPDATE: I have had this soundboard for over 7 months now and have not had a problem. It still delivers great sound! After my original review I sow that I could adjust the bass and treble separately and that just made it even better. The sound quality is different on every movie when it is made. Having the ability to adjust really helps! In all honesty, I am really pleased with the performance of this unit and would recommend it to anyone.

Bought this unit for my entertainment room and the results are incredible. The price for a quality sounding bar is unmatched. I have a Polk sound bar that was three times the retail price in comparison to these. The sound quality between the two are different, but I must admit listening to different genres of music on these are impressive. I mainly have the bar on to play R&B music and when I’m not playing music, I have it on for sports. I’ve used the sound bar both at moderate level volumes and even high volumes. I did not notice any distortion, lag, or rattling/crackling from the sound whatsoever. The remote is definitely a plus to have with this set as it allows you to change to different functions. Functions like bluetooth, HDMI or optical. I’m able to control the volume, bass and treble levels all from the remote. The bluetooth signal was good up to 35 ft between walls and rooms. With good positive results, there’s always bound to have issues. I didn’t feel like the issues I experienced deserved for a star to be knocked off. I had troubles changing the bar from optical to bluetooth. I reached out to customer service and they responded within 24 hrs. I just had to simply reset the sound bar and my issue was fixed. Customer service mentioned it could have been a newly powered on glitch that shouldn’t affect the performance or longevity of the sound bar. I haven’t had any other issues since that small and minor fluke. Another recommendation I have for future designs is to make the power cable for the subwoofer longer so that it can be placed in hidden sight if someone wanted to hide it. nonetheless, if you’re looking for a simple, affordable, and well designed sound bar, this set would be great for a small entertainment or game room. I would definitely recommend this set to anyone! Hope my experience helps others!

Let me start by saying this soundbar and subwoofer sounds very good for the price point. In fact, it sounds quite a bit clearer with better bass than my Yamaha YAS-107 soundbar – the reason I was looking for a replacement. It has lots of adjustability along with useful equalization presets. The bass is solid and powerful without being boomy – something I hate with many sound systems. The wired subwoofer is welcome compared to the trend lately of using wireless subs. Wireless is convenient but, as you’ll see from many of their reviews, they introduce their own problems such as interfering with wireless TV receivers like U-Verse and frequently cutting out or losing their connection link. A wired sub has none of those issues although you are more limited in placement. One small criticism here is that the sub uses a proprietary plug that’s like a DC power adapter. A standard RCA plug would be much better for adding extension wiring to move the sub farther from the soundbar. The sub wire is about 7.5ft long so it’s sufficient for placement of the sub adjacent to an entertainment unit holding the soundbar. The vocals are clear although I found that the vocal enhancement is most useful at lower volumes and becomes a little hollow sounding when you turn it up. Switching to Movie or 3D mode at higher volumes gives more natural sound for vocals than the News mode.Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this for anyone looking for a budget soundbar that performs well. Now the caveat… if you’re using an LG TV, you may not be able to get an HDMI ARC connection to work. I had this problem. The soundbar worked great using an optical connection but would produce no sound using HDMI ARC. I tried the soundbar on another TV using the HDMI ARC connection and it worked fine so there was nothing wrong with the soundbar. Even so, their support people sent me a new replacement in just a few days – excellent support! That one didn’t connect either. My research has found that LG TVs (especially their OLED models) seem to be very fussy about HDMI ARC connections… my Yamaha soundbar works fine but two other soundbars I’ve tried have the same symptoms – the bar is recognized (the TV doesn’t switch back to internal speakers) but no sound is produced. As soon as you unplug the HDMI cable, it switches to internal speakers. And yes, I’ve tried several different HDMI cables including eARC 8K certified. I’ve heard that Samsung QLED TVs have a similar dislike for some brands of soundbars using HDMI ARC.Verdict: this is an excellent soundbar for the price point. If you have a TV other than an LG OLED or Samsung QLED you should be able to hook it up with just the one HDMI ARC cable allowing control of the soundbar with the TV’s remote just as though it was a part of the TV. Or, if you prefer optical connection and don’t mind either using two remotes or programming a learning remote, then this soundbar is a vast improvement over most flat screen internal speakers and I highly recommend it.
