I use it for charging my i phone, ipad and my earphones at the same time. It is a very practical , small, good looking usb port extender

When I had to do a remote class that needed a USB headset, that was problematic because my Surface laptop, like many modern machines, only has one USB and I use it for my Rollerball mouse (go ahead, judge away – I’ll wait).I took a risk on this hub because it was inexpensive, promised to solve my problems, and I could get it the next day. I’m glad I did. It worked perfectly without need for setup or lag in performance. I’d definitely recommend it if you have this need.

Make sure you have a usb charger to use this, and connect your memory cards BEFORE turning on your pc or laptop. Once done, turn off your pc, and then disconnect this product. Also, don’t use more than 2 memory cards simultaneously.

This works like a charm. FINALLY I can plug all my devices in one spot and use only one USB port on my company issued laptop (we only have one port to use so I was constantly plugging devices in and out of it all day) This solved my problem and works great! I can even power down a specific port if I want to – each of the 4 slots has it’s own on/off switch. I recommend this product!

This is just about perfect. The switches that turn each port on and off are a neat feature. When I bought this, I wanted to make sure that it allowed every port to work simultaneously. I don’t assume this because some products of similar nature only run one port at a time. I can happily say that you can run all four ports simultaneously. Again this may seem obvious to some, but it makes me happy. You can even run multiple ports to the same device (I have a wireless mouse. I used one port for the wireless usb component, and another port for a charging cable. The mouse charged and still functioned at the same time.).There was one thing that didn’t work properly though. I have a 5tb Seagate external hard drive. It did not want to run from the splitter. I did get it to eventually, but I had to unplug the usb and plug it back in several times. For comparison, when I unplugged the splitter and plugged the hard drive directly into the computer, it worked the first time, every time. So, it does work with external hard drives, but at least for mine it took several tries and seems to be a little finicky.

I have a Sabrent multi-port USB adapter, and it cuts off frequently.I tried using it as a multi-hub of sorts for local PC multiplayer games to free up the front ports on my gaming rig, but if you move it in any way the Sabrent ports disconnect and reconnect, sometimes on a loop, causing the games to crash or freeze in the process as the devices are connected and reconnected over and over again. It’s a pain.I decided to go with the Atolla, because the negative reviews only mentioned that occasionally that the transfer speeds weren’t up to par, but since I had no plans on using it for hooking up hard drives or data banks, that wasn’t something that concerned me much.I’m currently using it as a wireless device hub for some wireless controllers that I have, and it seems to work just about perfect. I haven’t had any issues with the device cutting out or cutting off or constantly reconnecting like the Sabrent.I like the look and the ability to turn on and turn off devices with a very simple flick of a switch. This is a great multi-port USB hub and well worth the price of entry.

This was just what I was needing. I didn’t want to bog down my desktop computer with all kinds of stuff so I have a external hard drive to store all my documents and pictures. Since I have the hard drive that left me with no USB ports to use thumb drives or anything else. This little USB hub is absolutely perfect for what I needed. It has 4 different ports with on and off switches for when they are not in use. Now I can have my keyboard, external hard drive and the USB hub all plugged into my desktop and still use a cordless mouse and 3 ports still available for use.

I almost never write reviews, but I HAD to weigh in to offset the few negative reviews. First, the data hub was in perfect condition and came out of the box ready to be put into operation. My engineer husband plugged it in, tried all the slides and ports and pronounced it in perfect working order. Win! I am a sewist and embroiderer who used flash drives to store my embroidery stitch files (the instructions to my machine that direct the stitching) and am always changing out the individual storage drives. It occurred to me that all of this frequent, and sometimes hasty, change outs may potentially damage the USB drive in my embroidery machine. Possibly. More importantly, I often have several elements of a design on separate flash drives, and I thought that if I had a device that held four of them, I could use the machine to toggle between programs without changing drives. Brilliant! It works perfectly! I can load the power switch and use a single tap on the screen to access different programs.I don’t anticipate charging multiple devices, or other tasks that the switch says it can do, but I am very happy that it does for me what I purchased it for.

Not to long ago I built a new gaming computer, It’s great and though It was expensive to make, It was totally worth It. My only “issue” would be that the motherboard, while very good, has very tight USB ports, and with all of my peripherals, such as the mouse, keyboard, headset/speaker, etc. I ran out of USB 3.0 ports pretty quick and all I had left were two or three USB 2.0 ports which were useless.I honestly wasn’t even sure If they made splitters or powerstrips for USB cables. I only looked because I have a few power strips and splitters for other electronic devices, and I’m very happy I did. This functions exactly like a good power strip. You plug the splitter in and then you have four more USB 3.0 ports, a unique feature that I like about this Is you can choose to turn off certain ports with a small switch beneath the respective port.I would suggest this item to anyone who has a computer or honestly any USB 3.0 dependent device. I intend on buying another one or two relatively soon for both my current and old computer. I also bought a USB 2.0 splitter, I have that attached to my old computer. I’ll link the 2.0 splitter for anyone who may be interested or in need of one.USB 2.0 splitterhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BWF5U0M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pros: Love the flexibility with a Laptop to expand USB ports , Supports USB 3.0, easy to use and is simple plug in and start using your devices.Con: If using on a desktop PC the main USB cord is very short and needs to be sitting close or on the desktop PC. Hard to mount for fixed applicationsOverall, I would recommend this product. It has not failed yet in the month or two I have had it. It continues to function perfectly. (Five Stars)
