This holder costs more, but it may outlast ten of the ordinary kind. Built rugged to high standards. The design concept seems superior to the others. I purchased the model that has an extension. I did not see this on most if any other products. It holds the phone up much higher so I can see it better. With something sticking up a ways as it does, it is more likely to get broken. However, this device is so ruggedly made that it would take a lot of force to break the extension. Every control is precise and over-built to last. I am thankful for this American-made product. There is nothing else like it on the market as far as I can tell. No compromises anywhere. Functional.

You need a cup holder in just the right place in your car to be happy with this.Our Sprinter based motor home has a cup holder on the top of the dashboard and this works well. We don’t use the vertical extension piece because the windshield limits the space over the cup holder.My wife does the navigating while I drive and I can still read the distance to the next turn and the speed limit displayed on Google maps.If you are looking for something to hold your phone near you and you are not navigating, this should work for most any car.We find that the phone is less likely to topple onto the floor if we keep the center of mass of the phone directly over the cup holder.The nesting cups that you remove until the phone holder fits snugly in your cup holder are easily removed to arrive at a just right fit.This is a little pricey but if you need only one or like supporting made-in-America or appreciate something made well or want to give someone a nice gift this is a good one to select.

Not a thing I did not like about this item except maybe the price – a little high. But them all Weather Tech items are and I love this so it’s worth it.I previously had the suction cup to the windshield holder — kept uncupping when it was very warm. Then I hac the stick it in the heat/AC blowers [works w a big magnet —- worked pretty good. But now I have a new iPhone 11 with a see thru protective case & do not want to put a giant black magnet on the back of my pretty red phone w pink & white posies on it.I was @ my Ford dealer for inspection and saw the brocures for the CupFone. Came home & did some research.I have a 2015 Mustang convertible and this seemed to be the answer and indeed it is! Just view the handy little video WeatherTech has above the Question area. Thats all you need. Oh and measure your drink holder. When I got it, it was 1.2.3 taking the unecessary cups off and sliding my size into my drink holder. Voila, ready to use! Slides into the phone holder even w my case on my iPhone. And the charger comes out an area they left open for it. So convenient. And you can view it w/o any problem. LOVE IT!!!!!

Sizes are mis leaading will not fit a samesung note 10 plus. It will if you remove your phone case < otterbox defender > 900 phone 🤔 not to happen don’t get me wrong well made product but the engineer deaigned this should have used a phone with otterbox for measurement

Everyone should consider a phone holder because if you have an emergency you may not have time to fish a phone out of your pocket. Or, if you get into accident your phone could end up on the floor, between the seats, or in another place where you can’t get to it.That being said, this particular phone holder is on the pricey side. The good thing is that it is very durable and it works as advertised so I can except the asking price. My phone is always held securely and will not move.The negative. On full extension your phone will move around a little when you hit a little rough pavement but it is not a deal breaker. It is still a great American made product.

Got tired of my GF fumbling around with cheap box store phone holders. They would fall out of the vents, land on the floor, all while she was driving. Then trying to find the phone “somewhere” on the car floor. Not safe. This Weather tech Cup Phone holder with extension solves all her phone holder problems. She loves it. And so do I because I am not worried that she will crash because of the phone came loose in the cabin. Not inexpensive, but worth the money. The extension is nice, raises the phone, and can be locked into position.

This is BY FAR the best phone holder made. The price is a little high in my opinion but since it is MADE IN THE USA I don’t mind paying a little extra for a superior product. It fits in my cup holder perfectly and holds my phone more securely than any other phone holder I have tried AND THIS ONE STILL WORKS IF YOU HAVE A COVER ON YOUR PHONE. OTHERS DO NOT they are made for just the phone without a cover on it. It is easy to charge and with the extension I can put my phone EXACTLY where I want it and it will STAY OUT. Buy one you won’t be Sorry and you will be supporting an American Company with American Emplyees

I don’t understand some of the Bad reviews. I have a 2017 freightliner tractor trailer and spend about 11 to 12 hours a day in the cabin driving, so I need something to hold my phone steady that’s really durable. It was easy to pull the larger cup units out so until fits into the cup holder and it’s nice and snug. I extended the holder unit up and it is very easy to use while I’m driving using One Touch and a Bluetooth headset. My S 10 with case fits perfectly into the holder. I wish I had gotten this 6 years ago, when I started driving big rigs.Addition after 1 year: The long extension vibrated so much the 2 piece extension broke and I have to buy a new unit. After 1 year of no issues it was a surprise. They need to strengthen the extension so 11 hours of vibration a day doesn’t break it. Other than that it’s still the best cupholder out there.

I love this Cup phone! The best device for holding my smartphone. The installation is a little bit tough. You have to pull the individual cups apart if the largest diameter cup is too big. I had to pull off the first 3 cups. They are very hard to pull apart. They give you a small gadget that will help to push these cups out from the bottom. The problem is spinning these cups in such a way as to line up the hole on the bottom to push the gadget through. I eventually managed to get the darn thing apart. I get you want them to fit together tightly so they aren’t loose in your car’s cup holder. I just wish they put it together in such a way you don’t have to spin them. They should be lined up together when you receive it.

Two of the items this review asks you to rate are the amount of suction or adhesion this phone holder has. Of course, that misses the point of this product. The variable-sized cups allow you to change the diameter and fit any cupholder on most any modern car (or truck). No more having your phone and holder fall into the floor as you drive down the road. No lost suction or adhesion here. Just steady well-designed care for your phone. And in our state, “hands-free” is not only the only way to go, but it is also now required by law.
