Yes. You need the WhatsApp Business app — the free app from Meta, different from regular WhatsApp. If you're already on WhatsApp Business, you're ready. If you only have regular WhatsApp, download WhatsApp Business (free from App Store or Google Play) and register your business number — takes about 5 minutes.

You do not need a WhatsApp Business API account. That's a technical product for developers. ElfClick handles the API side entirely — you connect through a guided Facebook login and never touch any API settings.

Here is the honest breakdown:

When customers message you and the AI replies — free. WhatsApp does not charge for conversations that customers start. This is the core of how ElfClick works, and it costs you nothing on WhatsApp's end.

Order status updates — free in almost all cases. WhatsApp allows free replies within 24 hours of a customer's last message. Since most order updates happen within that window, no charge applies.

ElfClick Broadcasts — a small Meta fee applies. Your existing WhatsApp Business App and how you use it today stays exactly the same. ElfClick adds automated, segmented broadcast campaigns on top — scheduled promotions, images, audience filtering by recent or frequent customers. When you send a broadcast through ElfClick, Meta charges approximately $0.10–0.12 CAD per customer reached, billed directly to your Meta Business account — not by ElfClick. Broadcasts are optional and entirely your call.

Smart Follow-Ups and Reorder Reminders — Meta fee applies, and both are off by default. These are optional AI features you can enable in Settings. When enabled, the AI sends automated WhatsApp messages to customers who didn't complete an order, or to past customers due for a repeat. Because these are business-initiated messages, Meta charges approximately $0.10–0.13 CAD per conversation, billed to your Meta account. You will see a clear warning before enabling either feature.

Yes — as long as it is registered on WhatsApp Business (not regular WhatsApp). After connecting, ElfClick's AI handles customer replies automatically — and your WhatsApp Business App keeps working exactly as before. Your existing chats, contacts, and phone app all stay intact.

Messages appear in both your ElfClick dashboard and your phone app at the same time. You can reply from either one. If you reply directly from your phone, ElfClick detects it and pauses the AI for that conversation automatically — no overlap, no duplicate replies.

One thing to know: Group conversations are not supported in coexistence mode. Everything else — how you chat with customers, reply to messages, use your phone app day-to-day — is completely unaffected. ElfClick adds AI automation and smart broadcasts on top of your existing WhatsApp, it does not take anything away.
